Beautiful area for hiking. I only hiked but bike riding, kayaking and white water rafting are big here too. Great, well-marked trails. A ton of locations, variety and lots to see! A wonderful location for a quick weekend trip - or longer. I stayed at Kentuck campground and would recommend that too.

I loved this place. It was so beautiful and there is so many different things to do. The natural waterfalls are magnificent and so beautiful a must see for anyone visiting. There are plenty of campgrounds as well as picnic areas to eat at while still being able to keep an eye on the little ones since the water isn't too deep. There is also white water rafting which once a year they allow you to go off the falls. A truly unique experience. All in all its a GREAT state park!.

What a beautiful and large state park! We tent camped at the campground and really appreciated how large and set apart each site was from another. They also offered showers and had a separate sink in each bathroom to wash dishes. Nice feature. The whole area is great for hiking and kayaking and is close to Fallingwater too.

I absolutely love this place! Went about 11 times last summer and it literally feels like a vacation every minute I’m there. You must be careful though has there can be some very slippery area! May sure you check out the natural water falls. When you go down the stairs hang a left and just walk until you reach the main river, it’s beautiful and peaceful as not everyone knows about it.

A WONDERFUL PARK! So much to do with your family! Children will enjoy the Wildlife Center! It's Free too! GREAT INFORMATION about the history and wildlife! Has a Great Activity for Family Fun! White Water Rafting and hiking trails are over the top! Horseback riding trails are beautiful! (Bring your own horses) WE LOVE OHIOPYLE!

I love me some Ohiopyle State Park. I've only been twice, at this point, but both times were great. Also a nice tip of the water bottle to the visitor center for having clean bathrooms, great staff, and a welcoming environment.You can go to this state park and enjoy the area around the visitor center as a woodsy town visit, or you can go deep into the woods and everything in between. Plus, having water activities available (haven't done any of those yet, here but looks like fun!).If you haven't gone, take the day, go. Wander. Plan to come back.

Great state park! The Yurts are amazing! Plenty of room, clean, 4 burner stove, electrical outlets, and a refrigerator at a very low price!There's a bath house near the yurts with hot water, showers, and a roomy two sided sink for doing dishes.The bath houses are not the same. Check out the one closest to the garbage dumpsters and recycling area. That has nicer showers.There are some nice trails around the campground too. You hike into Ohiopyle if you want.They sell fire wood and kindling at the campground.

I always like coming here when it's nice out. There are a lot of places to eat at in the summer time and ample parking. I recommend walking across the bridge and checking out the trails so that you can get on the opposite side of the falls for a better view. It's a nice walk and can be rocky at times. You get a completely different angle of the falls and it is a much better view compared to the side of the falls where the visitor's center is.

This is another family favorite! The waterfall is breathtaking! There are many quaint shops and restaurants! In the summer, people slide down smooth rocks in a safe area of the river! The more adventurous book a raft or kayak excursion. The bicycle trail is perfect for a scenic ride along the river! There is a place for picnics with a spacious and clean public restroom! Many photo opportunities! There is also camping areas and hiking trails! Have a day to spend? Bike eleven miles upstream to Confluence and eat at the River’s Edge restaurant! Make reservations though-it’s a hot spot with great food!

This was our first stop before heading west. It is a beautiful park, lots of hikes to enjoy and plenty of campsites. Cucumber Falls is a short hike with a rewarding end. Very nicely situated with ample room or space around you. We went to visit Falling Waters and while there learnt about Kentuck Knob. Facilities were good.

Beautiful hiking areas, bike trails and the river rafting make this an amazing place to do all kinds of out door activities. The local cafes and stores are charming. I love coming here.

Gorgeous state park! This is our second time here, and have loved it both times. Lots of out door activities from whitewater rafting and a natural water slide, to bike and hiking tea trails, this park has lots to do and plenty of scenic views. It’s well maintained, and pretty popular, so don’t be surprised if there’s a crowd on the weekend.We’ve stayed in the campground both times, and would recommend. It’s spacious with plenty of tree cover, and we don’t feel over crowded with our neighbors. Great for families.

Beautiful and clean park.Campground was clean with a variety of sites - we stayed in a dog friendly loop (not all sites allow dogs)Restrooms were also well maintained and heated which was great since it was cold - 40F at night so bring warm gear if you're camping in the fall.Easy trail access from the campground or multiple lots around Ohiopyle. Trails were well marked, beautiful views of the falls.Lots of bikes on the Great Allegheny Passage so be mindful to share the trail.Hiking routes will take you to the town with east access to coffee, a market, deli and simple lunch options.There are rental shops for bikes and water activities but we didn't visit any

What a great place! We were early season and still plenty to do, but I'll bet summer months this great area gets filled up fast. Frank Lloyd Wright's falling water is not far away and worth making reservations to tour. Kentuck Knob, another Frank Lloyd Wright House is also very close by.

It's a very scenic place to visit. Many improvements have been made over the past few years. More accommodations for pedestrian traffic and bicycles have been added. As well as a new restroom/ changing area.

Ohiopyle State Park is a 4 season favorite! The views are always a joy and the hiking and cycling opportunities are outstanding. For the more hearty outdoor adventurer, white water rafting and kayaking tours are available. The visitor center is very well designed to be informative while allowing visitors with mobility issues to navigate the area with ease. Across the street from the visitor center you'll find plenty of shops for snacks, meals and souvenirs. Enjoy!

An awesome place to visit any time of year! There are so many activities in the summer but going in late winter you don’t have the crowds. Plus you get to see the mighty power of the water!

We went later in the afternoon during off season so there weren't many people. I love the many different observation decks at different levels! We will definitely be back!

4th time I have been here in 20 years, since we live 13 hours away. It's beautiful, no matter the season, and non commercialized.Each time is a bit different. We've had ice cream at the water edge with the family and the dog. We've bicycles for hours. We've done the rock waterslides (Be very careful!), and this year, visitor center.We love telling everyone about our visits.

A beautiful park with lots to offer. We’ve gone in the spring and summer months to bike and hike. Make sure you check out Cucumber Falls! Cute shops and plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. Go early as parking fills up quickly. The restrooms are well maintained and clean.

Absolutely beautiful! Hiked here for my birthday and it was perfect. Had great weather and got to get ice cream in the town. Had a wonderful time.

So happy to have stumbled on this area while visiting Fallingwater. This is a cute small town that is within Ohiopyle State park. Lots of nice touristy restaurants, ice cream spots, and recreational areas for water sports. There’s a nice bike path through here that connects to many other towns. Want to come back here and explore and camp more.

One of my favorite places to visit, especially in the fall. Just beautiful. Clean, well maintained park, with a great visitor center, that has an interactive exhibit, for the kiddos. And a spectacular, weather protected view, of the falls.

We went there, for our second time, last weekend and it was absolutely amazing weather. I really enjoy cucumber falls more than anything. But this time we also checked out some of the overlooks. The place is not much for hikes, but you could hike the whole way to every point after parking.

Great work of architecture! Love the floating terraces.Good hike and exercise trails for me but not for old people who has difficulty walking on rough grounds.Knowing the history of the house and the owners is an honor.When going wear comfortable clothing's and shoes. 👟

What can I say that hasn't already been said?! Just go - it's brilliant! Our tour guide, Lisa was fabulous- knowledgeable, passionate and patient. What was surprising is the visitors centre, gallery, shop and cafe. They complement the house with their style but also their content. The store has a huge range of official Frank Lloyd Wright items as well as other tastefully curated items. Highly recommended, I can't imagine anyone ever complaining

The space in the history is breathtaking.To see and feel how the elements enter twine and then remember that this house was built in the 30s is remarkable.This space is peaceful and well-kept. The visitor center before you get to work on this space is astonishing.The foundation does a wonderful job of maintaining the simplicity and the complexity.We missed the Inside tour but walking on the premises and the hidden paths I realized that this house has been here for over 50 years - it's magical.

A really amazing experience. Seeing pictures and videos cannot do this place justice. The harmony created with nature, and a man-made structure is perfectly balanced. We went on a 30F day in November, but still felt I could imagine what a summer day felt like here with the windows open, and a nice breeze. The grounds are beautiful, and relatively untouched. The home is setback far enough that you’re secluded, and there’s no noise (except the falls). Our guide was Brandon L., and he was great. We opted for the earpiece, which was also very convenient. Nice gift shop.

Beautiful home and grounds. The views are absolutely breathtaking. We got to tour the inside of the house and the inside is just as amazing as the outside. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny. I highly recommend getting tickets in advance, they sell out a lot. The gift shop had some interesting things and the Cafe had good food.

The mecca to some of the great Frank Lloyd Wright. This house was an amazing sight to see and the landscape and surroundings just made the experience so much better. I've been to about three or four of his houses that he has designed and this one right here just really brought nature into the house and really made everything seem fluid. The creek and waterfall can be felt all throughout the house whether it is sight sound smell sometimes touch. You really get the sense of being in nature in a house like this as everything is designed to bring the outside in. On top of the house itself you can also walk the grounds and see other points of interest as well. There are some Trails you can walk in other viewpoints of the house which is highly encouraged. It is up in the mountains in the woods and I was fortunate enough to get the full experience of going there during a huge rainstorm but then having the skies clear once the tour started. So to say the least "falling water" was very literal that day. Well worth the price of admission and a must-see of Frank Lloyd Wright lovers

Absolutely loved the guided tour, everything was covered in depth and with a wonderful personality!A beautiful setting and easy to find (despite it is out in the middle of nowhere) would highly recommend to anyone but especially architecture aficionados.

We love it here! Highly recommend the inside tour at least once. If tickets aren't available, the outside grounds are just as interesting. This last time we toured it was late Fall - still gorgeous & picturesque. The gift shop has unique items - make sure to check it out as well.

Fallingwater is an absolute gem to visit!We purchased our tickets in advance for a specific time slot and had zero wait time, as our tour started punctually.Earpiece radios allowed us to hear our knowledgeable tour guide during all times, giving us freedom to explore a bit around the property as she spoke.The visitors center was easy to navigate and was very beautiful. The gift shop had gorgeous souvenirs!

This place is one of kind. A beautiful nature walk to a true wonder. The visitor center seemed so calm and peaceful. it's an open roof in the woods. Even the mens room was beautiful. You can take guided tours, but it seems you have to book in advance, but for $15, you can walk the grounds on your own and still see the beauty. The cafe was really good and eating out in the lobby of the visitors center was very peaceful. I'm definitely glad to go. It is highly recommended to check out.

Worthy both the drive and the fees. The house is gorgeous, the area is beautiful and Eugene, our guide, was knowledgeable and pleasant. On a weekday of May there were tours going out every 10 min, so I do not recommend going without reservations. Ohiopyle state park is just a few min away.

This is a world famous building! A must see if you are in the area. We went in late February on Presidents Day. It was a beautiful day. We just had a timed walking pass. This means you just walk around the gardens and around the outside of the house.The actual map they give you is a bit rubbish as their are no physical markers on the ground to correspond with the letters on the map. Also paths etc were closed for maintenance. It was obviously ‘off season’ so a lot of maintenance was taking place. The restrooms were not functioning so there were portapotties.The gift shop and reception area were closed too.However the building was great! What an amazing building!! The gardens are perfect.It’s a really great stop over and the whole area itself is amazing

We had Linda as a guide. Wow, was she knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was about an hour long, and she successfully answered questions by all. You can tell she has a true love for Falling Water. I don't understand the complaints. All you simply need to do is READ the website. It lists all the rules, and guidelines. Nothing asked of us was outlandish. Preserving the home for all to see in the future is best. It was our second time visiting, the first time was in the early 1990's. It's amazing how well kept and cared for the home is. Such an amazing place to visit!

Fabulous location. Gluten free lunch at the cafe. Museum is beautiful. Art gallery is amazing. Bathrooms are gorgeous and clean. Grounds are stunning. Linda our tour guide was wonderful. Such a soothing voice. The house is unbelievable. So grateful they opened it up for tours. What a remarkable legacy. Would visit again.

A must see if you're in the area, even if you're not an architecture buff. Beautiful house and grounds. Very good tour guides. Take the time to walk the trail back to the Visitors Center. Some very interesting outdoor sculptures along the path. They could do a much better/faster job in the Cafe at the Visitors center but warning there are not a lot of good food options near Fallingwater. If you're in the area already, take the time to visit Kentuck Knob just a short distance away. It's a very different but terrific visit experience.

Visited for the exterior only tour twice. Can walk around and see inside through windows easily enough. One of the exterior terraces with a great view inside can also be accessed unless preservation work is in progress. Don't forget to take a walk to the Paradise Overlook, a beautiful scene with the sound and sight of the Youghiogheny River!

This was an incredible experience as I was passing through Pennsylvania. The drive to Fallingwater through the steep hills and small holler towns of Southern PA was gorgeous. The staff are knowledgeable and are passionate about this property. Linda was a great educator and tour guide! You can take your time through the grounds and through the house. Architecturally unique and it feels like a relaxing 70’s style house inside. Would love to spend a night here!

Amazing house. What a breathtaking experience this house. Frank Lloyd Wright did a superb job making the house blend into nature and the whole thing be cantilever is astonishing. I had heard of this house before but hadn't taken the time to visit until now and I wasn't disappointed. I can understand why it is so beloved and really appreciate that it is being so well maintained. The tour guide was excellent and she really gave us great insight into the family and the history of the building. There are some trails to walk around as well if you wanted to spend more time there. Highly recommended!

Absolutely stunning in every aspect. You will not be disappointed. I booked the in-depth tour and while $90 to tour a house may seem steep it was worth every penny. Our tour guide was incredible and went over so many small details about the property and Frank Lloyd’s vision.

I honestly had no idea what to expect going here, but since my childhood, I always hoped I'd make it here.Every facet of the experience seems to have been addressed to make it excellent in every way. From the entrance, the welcome center, beverage center, gift shop, walking tour host with Bluetooth headset, walking tour of the house and grounds, and even umbrellas.Thank you to the caretakers and overseers of the organization!This was everything to fill my heart, interest in art, architecture, nature, and hippie vibe, all wrapped up in one place!

We’re leaving the east coast soon and this was at the top of the bucket list. Totally worth it! Rod was an awesome tour guide. We did the extra long tour and it was absolutely worth it. I’d come back in a different season just to see how the house fit into the environment in a different time of year.

It is simply amazing that Frank Loyd Wright designed Fallingwater in 1935 as a vacation home for the Kaufmann family. This home is stunning. It’s unfortunate that it’s undergoing renovations that will last the next three years however, it’s better to see it maintained then neglected the ground surrounding the house are beautiful for short hikes. It’s very peaceful and calm. This has been a bucket list Item to see so very happy I made it out here. Went on a Sunday and there was hardly anyone here. Felt like we had the entire area to ourselves. Definitely recommend.

It was a dream of mine since I first studied Architecture to see Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpiece. And it didn't disappoint. Make sure to see his ingenious corner window detail. Fully integrated with nature.

Built in the early thirties of the 1900’s as a getaway from EVERYTHING “Cottage” or Vacation Home, unbelievable advanced architecture and use of space and nature…I was very impressed to say the least!Quite the drive to get there but for me and my “Inspired” Son, it was definitely worth it.

Bucket List. This is a wonderful, fantastic and beautiful home and park. It’s a little hard to get to, GPS doesn’t work great and it’s best to have reservations. Parking is easy and the gift store and restaurant are wonderful in themselves.

If you have children and looking for one-day ride to burn their children, Idlewild is a good option to put in your radar. We went on a Labor Day one hour after opening and the park wasn’t that crowded. A lot of attractions were closed given to COVID and possibly for maintenance. It doesn’t get five stars because, as a lot of people said here, food is pricey here and they lack healthy options for kids. The highlight of the park is definitely the Soak Zone. Honestly, I’d skip the main park and would go straight to the water park.

Idlewild and SoakZone was always one of my favorite places to go as a kid and now as an adult with a kid. We usually arrive when the park opens and try to leave by 3:00 p.m. as it gets crowded later in the day. The best thing to do is to go to the wave pool area early in the morning, then leave SoakZone around lunch time when it starts to get crowded. We usually pack a lunch since the food is expensive. Depending on how much money you plan to spend, you may be better off purchasing the gold annual pass. We go several times throughout the year, and barely spend any money when we go. With each gold pass, you receive a free souvenir refill cup (free refills) and a nice discount on the food venues. This year they discontinued the 99 cent popcorn refill bucket. I spoke to the person selling the popcorn and she said there are a lot of people upset about it, so we are hopeful that they will bring it back. This park is geared for families with smaller children. Our son just became 37” tall this year and can ride most of the rides now. In addition to SoakZone (water park), and the normal rides, there is also a Kiddieland for younger children and Story Book Forrest. These two parts of the park are fun to go to for smaller children and take a lot of time to go through. All in all Idlewild and SoakZone are great places to go, but plan to spend a lot of money. For an example, the duck pond game was $10.

Food was overpriced. Free parking. A lot of things were closed including gift shops. We bought a souvenir cup almost 13bucks and it's the 2017 one, pretty bummed about that. Ordered a combo and didn't get a side or a drink. It's definitely run down and needs a fresh coat of paint and some upgrades. We only went for Daniel Tiger, rode the trolley, train and carousel. Lots of shade and bees. They did offer beer at one stand (8-10 bucks per) and food not containing meat (cheese Pizza and Fries). My daughter had fun she's almost two but she also didn't realize what she was missing with the rides, she was to small to go alone and adults were to big (for her age group).

We have been visiting this park since the 1990's. First with our own kids and yesterday with grandchildren. I love the updates done to storybook forest and the characters were the best we have ever experienced. We would have loved to have been able to tour storybook forest at 9AM like we did with our own children as this makes getting through the park easier.We like that the parking lots make packing a picnic lunch an option and convenient. We were going to eat dinner at the park before leaving, but the food was outrageously expensive so we left the park and went to McDonald's drive through.We thought the park was very clean and we noticed significant updates and painting repairs since our visit 2 years ago. Nicely done!One issue we had that caused significant frustration was that bathrooms were very difficult to locate on the map and were not well marked in the park. The maps are to small to actually read details like restrooms.We were disappointed that the park closed at 7pm which we did know about before arriving but it makes it impossible to do everything in a single day. We live 3 hours away in Ohio and used to arrive at the park at 9Am and leave at 10PM.Yesterday we realized that there was no way to do the water park and Old Idlewild amusem*nt rides so we gave the kids a choice. They picked the rides therefore for the first time ever we did not use the water park. We live close to multiple water parks but it was still disappointing.With the exception of hours and restroom issues, we love this park and will return.

What a nice place! My kids loved it! Parking and entry was so easy! It's a shame more places don't do it this way! Food was average, and the staff was polite. Very nostalgic and very enjoyable! We felt safe and relaxed here. Only complaint, lots of bees for reasons unknown. If you bring/use hand sanitizer, leave the floral scents at home. Looking forward to our next visit!

Nice park, a lot of parking lot spaces, good ideas of monkey gym, we was first time here for Halloween , they have a nice photo spots. The best railroad views. But next time will go to Kennywood, there is more attractions for adults, kids zone smaller then Idlewild, but more coasters, less distance to drive.

This park was lovely, shaded and a great time for the kids. A little expensive! My wife was pregnant and couldn't really ride anything at all, so it stinks we still had to pay! I only wish that the staff managing the rides were more attentive and engaging with the kids. There was no cheeriness and just felt like everyone was going through the motions. I think it took away from the enjoyment for the kids to be honest when the people running the rides don't seem at all excited about them. It was not a busy day but many times we had to wait because a child needed help out of a ride seat but the attendant was just sitting there for instance. My young daughters went through an entire bumper car ride stuck against a side with another car blocking them in and no way of getting out. The attendant just pretended not to see them which was very frustrating for them. Lifeguards at the water zone were highly attentive which was great. If you are going on the larger roller coaster make sure to check your combined weight on the scale ahead of time. Many people waited in line for the whole time just to find out they can't ride together. The combined weight for each row was like 265lb or something. If over that limit, you can't ride at all! Lockers of different size were available for the water area. We got one for $13 which fit a backpack full of stuff and our shoes for the whole day if needed.

Amazing family oriented amusem*nt park. They still have some originals and have made improvements on a few of the rides. It's definitely not modern, but it's perfect for a family with younger kids. We appreciate that my 2 1/2 and 7 year old have a lot of different rides to enjoy, but also the Jumping Jungle and Storybook Forest offer up fun 'nonriding' activities as well. Storybook Forest has characters throughout and they are so sweet and interact with the kids. Snow White took the time to point out each dwarf (figures) and their names. She included some fun stories with it too. There's little wait for the kiddie rides even on a beautiful weekend afternoon in August, the longest wait we had was for the Wild Mouse and that was about 20 minutes. I would definitely seek out discount tickets. We chose Groupon and saved over $50 for a family of 4. Bring your own water if you can or be ready to pay $4/bottle. I'd also suggest packing up snacks as they don't have any restrictions on coolers or bags. Finally, park anywhere and it's a very short walk into different areas of the park. (I can't speak about Soak Zone because we didn't go to that area.)

Not bad for small kids. Super crowded at the Soak Zone as to be expected on a 90° day. We did the amusem*nt rides first before going to the water area. Usual line up of concession stands and drinks. Adults were happy to have the opportunity to have a beer or two. Parking is what you'd expect, crowded. There are no marked spots, so one car could park crooked and take up three spots which is what many did, and with no lot attendants, no one was correcting the problem. This is my reason for a star off. The kids had a good time and really that is all that matters.

It was a great day! It is decorated so cute for fall & Halloween. So nice for the kids to be able to Trick or Treat there.

This old park has a nostalgic atmosphere and is tucked in amongst the Laurel Mountains. There are 4 sections of the park which is all family friendly. The first part is Storybook Forest which showcases classic fairytales and is interactive. It's decorated with miniature houses that you can walk through and your kids will love it. Next is the main part of the amusem*nt park which has old wooden rides and many fun games. There are lots of food choices and plenty of places to sit. Then if you walk across the large wooden bridge or take the train you will find Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. There are a ton on rides for the little ones and even some games and food in this section. Last is Soak Zones, you'll need a full day to explore the fun water slides, the giant water bucket, wave pool, enormous interactive pirate ship for the small kiddies and the lazy river. There are changing rooms and lockers. The staff were friendly and the park was clean. I love Idlewild and I've taken my family there for years. My only complaint is that they no longer have the antique photo studio. We would get a family picture every year as a tradition and had fun dressing up in period clothing. This was a disappointment for my family. Also their prices for food, games and entry have gone up significantly which made things a little challenging during our visit. Over all it's a fun place to go with your family. We have made some long lasting memories at this magical place.

Beautiful park. Numerous picnic pavilions in short walking distance. Plenty of parking with handicapped access. Very family friendly environment. Lots of shaded areas and benches. Would recommend taking your own food and drinks. Very costly in the park. They allow wagons in park. If going to park often a seasonal pass is helpful and save you. No cash use in park, credit/debit cards only. A great time was had.

Hallowboo was fantastic! The kids had such a wonderful time, all the rides were open and spookybook forest was even better with treats for the kids!Idlewild is a great place to visit spring, summer and fall!Oh and cousin Eddie, well done.Idlewild, yes, you have my permission to use my review.

We stopped at Idlewild while touring the small amusem*nt parks in NY and PA and just loved the nostalgia of the park. It felts like stepping back into the 50s or 60s where families would vacation at a place like this for a week or two.They have a nice selection of rides, but it’s not really a thrill seeker park. It’s wonderful to just slow it down and enjoy the flat rides and beautiful scenery.The have two coasters. Rollo Coaster is a well maintained woody from 1938. It’s a great family style coaster. They also have a wild mouse steel coaster that is pretty fun.We enjoyed our time there and will be back!

Highly recommend visiting here for a small getaway or even just for the day. It is a family oriented place, everyone is friendly, and staff is very cautious. Just like any other theme type park, food and drink prices are slightly higher than average, however they weren't outrageous. There is something to do for everyone, from the baby splash pad to the 21 and older hot tub oasis. It feels safe within the facility and kids can enjoy themselves without parents being extremely concerned at all times. You must be wearing a bracelet to enter the facility for any reason and staff seems to keep a very close eye out for that. We had a blast and have already begun planning our next weekend getaway. There is a great arcade, and a restaurant right on site, you can also play a game of bowling if you are done with the water for the day. There is truly something for everyone.

The kids had a blast but there wasn't really too much going on for the adults. There's a bar in the water park but Everything is super expensive. We paid $9 just for one weak drink. Food is expensive as well we paid $16 just for two chicken fingers some french fries and a non refillable soda. The chlorine smell is very strong and it was super crowded. All of the hotels are connected to the water park so you do not have to go outside to get to it but if you do not get the hotel that the water park is actually in it is a crazy long walk.I probably won't go back but I do recommend giving it a try though if you have the money for it. It was definitely a great experience. It's definitely great if you have kids under the age of 15 and good for some of the older kids. Just keep in mind that the hotel rooms aren't cheap as the passes are included in the purchase of your room and online it says four passes per room but that is not accurate. We purchased two rooms both the same size with the same amount of beds and one room came with 4 passes and the other room only came with 3.There's an arcade, ice cream shop, and gift shop upstairs from the water park. Gift shop does not carry anything over a size XL. There's also locker rentals upstairs for the lockers at the water park.

Splash was a wonderful experience for my family! We enjoyed all that it had to offer! There were multiple different water slides and a couple of different splash pads for kids to play and get sprayed with water. There is a small shallow pool with low and slow slides for the smaller/younger children. There is a pool about 3-3 1/2 ft deep that has about 8 basketball hoops. There is a wave pool that simulates being at the beech with beach chairs. There is a Surfing wave that I believe cost extra, not 100% sure(we didn’t try it). There are multiple lockers for rent to keep valuables. There are a lot of tables and chairs to store all your towels and footwear. We kept all our things at the table without using a locker. Every water station had a lifeguard and sometimes 2 lifeguards depending on the pool. The lifeguards rotated very frequently and were very active and alert which was very comforting. Overall we had a good experience and will plan on returning in the future.

Went for a quick getaway, drove 4 hours from Toronto and it did not disappoint. We had a few issues getting the ticket online/thru the phone and if we hadn’t insisted calling to get a receipt we might have stressed out when we got there, but all turned all an awesome experience at the end. Lots of fun for the whole family!!

Splash Lagoon was a fun experience for our family. We were visiting from Texas, as we have family in Erie. There is plenty of parking and we were assisted immediately at the front desk. Our 5 year old was excited to get to all the attractions but decidedly was a bit nervous at first.He decided to stick with the lazy river and the new Tree House. He loved the Typhoon Twister (red/blue) slide and went down it a ton. We next tried out the wave pool and it was nice they have life vests for use. He can swim but it was nice to have the added safety. The surf machine was a favorite of my husband's-- it's so nice that everything is included and you aren't charged extra for any of the water attractions.Our son finally decided to try the bigger slides and was thrilled with the Big Kahuna and Cyclone...although I think his favorite ended up being the Python Plunge. We spent a few hours here and it wasn't too crowded--we never waited more than a few minutes for a slide. The only downside is the lockers--$16 felt a little steep for the smallest size, the bigger is $22. I'm sure for a longer day or stuff that needs secured it's fine but we just chose to move our towels and sandals around with us. Overall though it was a great experience and we'd come back again in a heartbeat!

Quite satisfied with our visit to Splash Lagoon in Erie. For starters, here’s a few things you should know:• You can take advantage of the entire park if you book a hotel connected or nearby that gives you passes. Saying this because we got into the park at 2 pm and it was jammed, with a lot of attractions with waiting lines. Arriving early in the second day made a huge difference since we could enjoy everything with no rush and no waiting.• Lockers cost 16 for a single and 22 for a jumbo. And they’re located in two areas of the park.• Food is the average park treats: pizza, hot dog, fried chicken, etc. But there are many restaurants and chains along the road close to the park.• Family changing rooms are usually busy and wet. If you can, split up your family to go the regular gender restrooms where they have big changing areas.My only downside during our visit was one of the sliders that scratched my back.

Our visit included with our hotel stay for our daughters cheer competition. A lot of fun. Was really busy during our visit bit was still enjoyable. Definitely recommend wearing some water shoes. Kind of small changing room so I changed in the showers. But I blame that on the amount of visitors during a cheer competition weekend. All in all, fun for the whole family and we will be back again someday.

Brought my 3 kids- 6,9,11 for a two day trip. We spent all day Saturday and Sunday here and it was awesome!! Perfect temperatures indoors and water. If you get there right at opening or stay right till close the lines are shortest. That being said, this weekend the lines were very reasonable in my opinion! The kids can’t wait to make this an annual trip! Every lifeguard we encountered was great! They were all so good with the kids! There weren’t any food options that my kids would eat, so we did bring food, but went to the car to eat it. The ropes course was a blast too! Definitely enough to keep the kids busy and happy for two days! Staying at the holiday inn was perfect as well! Quick walk between the two!

Kids loved it. Lifeguards were very alert and on top of it. No slimy floors on pool bottoms. There are activities/pools to accommodate all ages from toddler to adult.If I had to mention a couple cons: restrooms/change rooms could use an update. Music was unnecessary and loud (you couldn't hear the music anyway due to the sound of water/splashing, and kids screaming in the background. Loud music was just added noise.)

Awesome place for the kiddos. Really nice that the entire place is inside. It's also very convenient that there is direct hotel and restaurant access.However, that's about as good as it got. 3 main attractions, 1 set of stairs. That is how the entire place is set up. It's hard to know where to go, or who's going where. The worst part- none of the staff really cares or pays attention or implements the rules, which is obviously very unsafe for the kids. They have no way to communicate with each other, other than to blow a whistle and yell.The light system indicating the next person could go clearly wasn't working for 2 days, yet we continued to waste time sitting at ride after ride because the workers were talking to each other and not paying attention to the riders.Multiple times we witnessed the attendants at the surf ride paying absolutely no attention while people were on the board, waiting for direction.The whole place could absolutely use a face lift.Overall, the kids enjoyed themselves; the adults TRIED to enjoy the kids enjoying themselves, but were too busy worrying.

We had a wonderful experience, this park has activity for all ages. we all enjoyed ourselves a lot. we'll definitely come back. i suggest correcting the time to start the park because they say they open at 11:00, but at 10:00, it was open. i lost an hour of fun. Courtyard hotel it’s an amazing place too. We love it.

For the people leaving bad reviews because of the connecting hotels, those hotels have nothing to do with Splash Lagoon and while they are connected, they are separate and no the waterpark is not included unless you buy a hotel and waterpark package off the Splash Lagoon Website which compared to places like Kalahari, this is an amazing deal. We booked a non connected and it was perfect. There are a couple non connected hotels like the Marriott we stayed in that were immaculate and you could see them from the parking lot, less than a minute drive!Highly recommend. Splash Lagoon has something for everyone from infants to adults (which is important because we have a 6 month old, 12 year old, and 17 year old). Water was comfortable and restrooms, dining area and waterpark area are clean and maintained by staff in a timely manner. Has everything a big name park like Kalahari has but is much more affordable. There was also plenty of seating in all areas of the park and dining areas so there was plenty of room and you weren’t on top of others or without a seat (Kalahari for example runs out of seating pretty early). Great location with tons of hotel, dining and shopping options within a minutes drive or walk. Splash has a bar and a quick service restaurant/concession area and there is a Quaker Steak and Lube attached to the building. We booked a package with Courtyard By Marriott across the street after reading tons of bad reviews for dirty worn out rooms and tons of noise at the connecting hotels. Our hotel was less than a minute drive. Hotel was immaculately clean and maintained, and it was quiet and comfortable. It even had its own heated pool, toddler heated pool, hot tub, sauna and gym so the kids could swim if they wanted even after waterpark close. I highly recommend booking the package on Splash Lagoon bundled with the Marriott. We splurged for a cabana (very fair price) for our second day which is out of budget at places like Kalahari. It was amazing to have a place to relax, let the baby nap, and have a home base to store our stuff and meet up with each other. It came with towels, snacks, water, a fridge, souvenir cup with $0.99 cent refills, arcade cards, TV and our own dining table. It was extremely private and comfortable. Staff were on top of everything and very friendly and eager to help with anything a guest needed. We will definitely be back.

Hands down the BEST PLACE!! I'm a huuuuge fan of it being indoors!! After having LYME'S I can't handle the sun!! The price for the rooms the price of entrance the foods in the hotels... Amazing! I've been going there for 12yrs now and not even the kids are sick of it yet lol. We've stayed at every hotel attached to Splash Lagoon. And NONE were a disappointment!!

Nice indoor park. Does get busy but not too bad. It’s not huge but enough to keep everybody for the day.Water temperature was okay. Room temperature could be a little warmer during winter season.Check in was simple.Large lockers are $22 per day. Smaller ones are $16. Double check your locker. Mine did not lock even when the door closes and turns red for in used. I found out at the end of my stay. There are tables throughout that you can place your stuff on if you don’t want to rent a locker.Lifeguards everywhere and they do a great job making sure everyone is safe.Overall, great experience.

We have made this trip many of time over the years. This year however has been a disappointment. We arrived at 12:30 and left at 2:30. There were NO TABLES, except for the ones they want you to PAY $50 DOLLARS for, which got most of the day remained empty. THERE WERE NO TUBES AVAILABLE. And only small lockers. So we left and explored Erie, had lunch, and came back at 7:00pm. What appears to be happening is there seems to be lack customer care anymore. For the amount of money we spend to be here we should at least be able to ride, sit down, and enjoy the fun! As you see in the photo. Still empty! The old saying…Half a loaf is better then no loaf.

Very fun place for the kids, at first was extremely over crowded but later in the day when it died down was very fun. The hotels attatched are nice, i would stay the whole place including the hotels could use some better maintenance/upkeep but overall was very good.

Had a wonderful visit! Great layout and very well kept. I was pleasantly surprised that there was never a wet floor in the bathroom! We loved the arcade, wave pool, lazy river, slides and hot tub! We enjoyed eating lunch up top overlooking the flow rider and wave pool. Only 2 hours from our home and we will definitely return, thanks for the great day!

We took the kids (8 and 9) here for NYE and we all had a blast. The water park is clean, spacious, lots of fun things for everyone to do including lots of slides, the lazy river, hot tubs and the wave pool. The lifeguards were on it...great job! The prices are fair for a full day of fun and I feel comfortable and safe letting the kids run and find their favorite slides to play on and not have to be stuck together or with us the entire time, they can let loose and just have fun. The kids loved it so much that we're going back in the spring for their birthdays. Not sure who is more excited, the kids or us parents!

It is the Disney land of Erie, PA! The boys and I had a wonderful time. The best way to experience it is to book at least one night stay at one of their connected hotels. This way one can easily change between swimming and warm/dry clothes through each day, and avoids having to lug around one's valuables. It was nice to be able to take a little break from the water, and play at the arcade area. So much fun! It was like a mini vacation....as one of my boys described. We stayed at the Hawthorn Suites. The staff there were wonderful and were very accommodating to our needs. Thank you, Heather, Michelle, Isheka, and Esteban!

This park has a big shore line with multiple beaches, bike and boat rentals, tours and sunset cruise. This is one of the best parks to visit and experience it's natural beauty, huge trees that offer shade and oxygen, biking and walking trails along the shore lines, sand beaches and clean water. During summer weekends, the beaches will be busy with lot of people and dirty water along shore lines. I suggest going here early in the day to find the best spot but given the shore line stretches across multiple miles finding a beach spot shouldn't be a problem. While it would be nice to have more water activities within the island, you can find them by traveling few miles outside the park. The tour was great which helped us learn about the history of the place. There is a museum to visit within the island and a tower which you can climb up top. I had a great time and will recommend going here.

So I’m going to lead with my family and I visited Presque Isle State Park as tourists and did not know what to expect. The water was cold, but considering that I’m from Miami, that doesn’t surprise me. The sand was incredibly clean. There was plenty of parking. There are tons of beach entrances along the way and we really enjoyed how well kept this place was. In general, we all had such a great time and recommend this place to anyone who is looking to swim in one of the Great Lakes and families who are looking for something to do with the kids. We loved it.

This is a state park that is also an island in the very northern part of Pennsylvania. It's free to enter. This is a highly biked and jogged state park. There's a long paved trail along the southern rim of the island. Along the northern rim of the island, there's multiple beaches, each with signage and parking. The sand was so soft and clean. I visited Beach 3 and Beach 8, I believe. 8 was far cleaner as far as debris goes. There's restrooms all over in this park. There's a lighthouse and gift shop that's only open on weekends according to the sign. There's apparently bike rental, but I could t find it. I love going up yo the "House Boats" in the farthest area, near the coastal guard area. There was HUGE fish in with the house boats. I wish I had more time to walk some of the trails and lounge at the beach. This is a great stop to add on your road trips or if you're nearby, a great day trip.

A MUST see in Erie. Or even if you are close. Miles of beautiful beach. Crystal clear water (in May). And the lighthouse and tour were well worth it. There is also fishing and bike rentals. Just amazing! I can’t say enough good things about this place! I would highly recommend it.

This is a great spot for a day trip if you're in NE Ohio or northern PA. There's so much to do & see. Talk to the locals to find all the best spots. The views of Lake Erie are spectacular & of course the sunsets are beautiful. Sara's restaurant is at the entrance of the Isle & is a great spot to get food on your way in or on your way out. There are restrooms throughout the park & from the ones I went into they were all clean. If you have time I recommend driving the entire Isle & seeing it all. You can rent bikes & there's a path around most of the Isle that accommodates the bikes. A walking/running path is also on the Isle if you want to get a workout in. This is a gem for sure with well maintained beaches & sights to see!

Lots of great things to do here, from trails to boating to flying kites and hanging on the beach. This area has a ton of recreational activities. The beach is nice and clean and even though there was a lot of activity it was not crowded at all. Highly recommend.

Beautiful area. Family fun with boating, biking, walking, picnicking and fishing. There are several beaching to go to. Most people go to the first beach to look for sea glass. The bathrooms are clean and located near the roadways. Very nice place to visit.

2nd time visiting this well maintained State Park! Restrooms well equipped and clean!Fall colors were awesome at the end of October. The wild turkey was cool to see!

We came here to watch the eclipse and I’m so glad we did! They had a ton of parking but we got there early enough we didn’t have much of an issue. The kids had a blast playing on the beach waiting for the eclipse. The park rangers were also handing out info which was cool and the bathrooms were very close. We are so happy with our choice to watch the eclipse here. I would love to come back to explore the area more someday.

Have been here many times in the past during afternoons and sunset time. But this was the first time I visited the place after sunset and it was very pretty. With just a little light from moon and the stars, the sky was a beautiful lit canvas which was embellished with thin rain!!One of the best experiences I have ever had.

During my stay in Erie I ran a sunny 13.1 mile loop around the peninsula & wow is it a gorgeous swath of land. It reminded me of the Homer spit in many ways up in Alaska. The beaches are gorgeous & there is a lot of pristine wilderness to be observed. On my run I saw a lot of wildlife which is always thrilling.

Lovely! Beach 11 has accessibility mats up to the water's edge. Sand was clean. Life guards were present. Easy ups are allowed. Restrooms clean but no showers. Only a foot rinse. Parking is unlined so people didn't park efficiently and created long walks to the beach. Great time on July 4. Beach 10 had barrier rocks and geese, with the bold gull. Picturesque!

Beautiful state park. And they do not charge admission to get in. I totally expected to tho and would have. The lighthouses were neat. We toured Presque Isle Lighthouse. You do have to pay for that. We stopped at kite beach to let our son swim. The houseboats in the bay were so cool. Spent 2 hours here could have spent more!

Stop by the Tom Ridge Enviromental Center first if you are new to Erie and dont know the area. They will tell you a lot about the peninsula before you visit.This is a place to explore for several days. Its around 11 miles all the way around and it has several historical monuments and pleanty of opportunities to enjoy the park without disturbing the wild life too much. Some of the monuments are seasonal. So keep that in mind if you are visiting from warmer areas where stuff is open year round. There are tons of trails were you can walk, jog, bike and you can see downtown Erie on one side on lake Erie on the other. Looks more like an ocean that a lake to me. Yes... you will see some folks surfing out there.

The peninsula (presque it’s French for almost, so it’s literally “almost an island”) is a very unique and beautiful state park with many ways to enjoy it. First, you can drive, bike, and walk pretty much the entire area. There are several beaches, monuments, and light houses. There is abundant wildlife and a constant breeze great for flying kites.

This is one of the best PA state parks that I’ve visited. There is so much to see and do. I was on the beach during the eclipse, it was an amazing experience. I can’t wait to come back here in the summer.

Beautiful beaches with sand! So many Erie beaches are more rock than sand, but not Presque Isle! We also enjoyed the free Pontoon Boat Tour which was a lot of fun!

If you d like to visit one American park , this has to be it. I had no idea this area included so many incredibly preserved buildings that are historic and gorgeous. The self guided walking tour is easy and informational. It provides opportunities to see everything from the waterfront to architecture.The museum is cute and there are is great gift shop. The rangers and volunteers were kind and professional and genuinely appeared to love their jobs.

Beautiful place to walk around and enjoy. Very well maintained. The beach is amazing and goes on forever. Wide paved walking and biking paths. Plenty of parking spots in various locations. Highly recommend if you are in Erie.

Lovely area to get outside. Took a scenic drive and a few hikes. The weather cooperated with sunny skies and 75 degree temperatures.

This is a great place to take your family. There are a lot of different beach areas to choose from and a lot of different areas to go for a walk or explore. For being in Pennsylvania the beaches are beautiful and very clean. There are multiple lighthouses to explore and take photos of. This is an amazing spot for a family to spend the weekend.

Spend the day in the sun on the fresh water beaches ⛱️. Miles of great paths to Rollerblade and take a bike ride. Go fishing off the pier or explore on a hike through the wetlands. Excellent PA State Park!

Beautiful park with plenty of parking, restrooms, grills and beaches and showers. Walking, biking, boating, fishing, rollerblading it has it all. We live in Michigan by Lake Erie and man this part of Lake Erie is beautiful compared to what we have. Wish we had something like this near where we live. Beautiful!

I have skied and snowboarded here for many years. The trails and facilities are well-maintained. The instructors are all very kind and helpful. The prices for passes food, and other things are a bit expensive but is to be expected at a resort. Due to the fact that it’s a smaller resort, it does not get too crowded except for holidays. In the summer, there is a ropes course and zip line. Both are very fun and great for kids.

Beautiful resort with a lot of activities even in summertime. The rooms are very nice and the beds a comfortable. The water pressure in the shower is very nice. The hotel is stunning.The pool area is fun and one of the best I have ever seen. I was impressed that they had a life guard on staff. The hot tub was on of the most unique and lovely. There is a chairlift with beautiful views, and a lot of adventures to do like ziplines and ropes course.The only thing I can complain about is the construction work directly outside my window but that is forgivable.

We went for a quick family getaway and this is just what we needed. There were seven of us, two adults and five children. We chose the two queen loft room. It was slightly cramped, but we definitely made it work. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. And two of the boys especially loved the indoor basketball court. We went nighttime tubing under the neon lights and everyone had a blast. Tubing was very reasonably priced as well. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Great hills, snow was nice and the right consistency. Terrain park was fun, I prefer the terrain hill to the right of the main one because I'm not skilled enough to go down the main hill. Peek n Peak is very open to beginners there are lots of classes for adults and kids. We stayed in the lodges they were very nice and had enough room for all of us. There is also a pool and a indoor outdoor hot tub. One of the nights we went down to the restaurant in the lodge. It took 2 hours to get our food but we were expecting that, so I would recommend either bringing your own food. Overall though it was a great experience.

My children call it The Giant Bunny Hill. There is a perfect learning lift and slope. A great place to learn to ski and snowboard. My wife was very happy with the room, such a miracle. End of the season rates were great. The skiing, snow boarding are still great. The snow is still in very good condition. Tubing was closed today. 03-20-2023

While we did have a great time with their Summer Adventure activities, I have to share this "wonderful" service story. Our room didn't have a shower curtain, so I called the front desk to get one. The guy was making it sound like I wasn't going to be able to get one and literally asked me, "Do you really need one? There is a bath mat and towels that you could wipe up the floor with." Oh my!!! I really did just laugh at him. I then went down to the office to speak with him in person. He still made it sound like I wasn't going to be able to get one because he was the only one working and there were no housekeeping staff on duty. I told him that we were going swimming and that I expected to have a shower curtain when we returned. When we returned...we had a shower curtain!! It really shouldn't have been that difficult to get a shower curtain!!!!

Would not recommend!The halls have the worse odors. They don’t serve complimentary breakfast. The walls are paper thin. The people staying across from us were partying until 2:45 am with their barking dog. Then woke up at 5am from crying baby. Again paper thin walls. The bed and pillows are beyond uncomfortable. The whole hotel needs a renovation. I’d recommend staying at the Hilton instead.

I would give it 6 stars if that was possible. Beautiful resort , stained glass, beveled glass, fireplaces and comfy leather couches,carved wood -very elegant and cozy at the same time. We loved the indoor/outdoor hot tub.

Was a perfect first family vacation. Room was perfect, food was great, tubing was so fun.. everything was perfect. Just if you book the package don't forget to reserve a tubing spot for your stay (you can't go unless you have a reservation before hand ) staff was patient with me when I was a little annoyed with that when we first got here. All around an amazing trip, Thanks!

The hotel common areas like the lobby were beautiful. The pool and hot tub are also very nice. The bistro inside the inn was beautiful but very overpriced. The other restaurants were ok and very overpriced. I ordered a salad for dinner that was just iceberg lettuce with basic toppings (cucumbers and tomatoes) and it was $14.00. The slopes were great - the kids and us love skiing here.The hotel room however was left to be desired for $399.00 a night we expected a lot more. Basic updates would go a long way here. The furniture was old and marked up. The walls had patched holes and the bathroom tub was stained. The ceilings remind me of asbestos style ceilings and are falling apart. The room had a weird air freshener smell on the bedding that gave me a headache.The fireplace was really the only nice thing about the room.We came twenty years ago and nothing has changed and I remember saying to myself I wouldn't stay here again... But we wanted to give it another try since it had been so long.I wouldn't stay at the hotel again... I would definitely come back and ski for the day!

This is a great little resort. It might not have huge vertical, but there are lots of trails with good variety, including some fun terrain park features, and when I was there on a Saturday, there were no long lift lines or anything. It took forever to get a hot dog in the main lodge cafeteria, but I'm not holding that against them. Lift ticket window lines were non-existent. I really appreciate them being on Indypass, and hope to go back again in the future.

The room was big and spacious. The couch was dirty and had stains on it. The curtain had brown stains on it. Bathroom baseboards were dirty and had hair all over the top of it.Resturant was overpriced, and when we went to go get the breakfast buffet in the morning, they didn't have a menu for my child to eat something small, so we left. Staff looked stressed out and overworked. With how much money this place charges, you would figure it would be cleaner and updated. The pool was dirty, and no one was in it. I probably should have rented a condo.

I love this place. My brother & his wife got married here years back & my family made a return visit just for a vacation this last weekend. The rooms are quiet, clean & comfortable. The staff is friendly & accommodating. I actually spent a good deal of time running miles around the property & climbed up the mountain several times for a great workout… Saturday afternoon in the spa/hot tub I would not recommended for relaxation or quiet time, though - tends to be very busy with a lot of kids, be forewarned! ;)

This is about a 5 hour drive from our home and makes for the perfect family weekend get away! Friendly staff, great environments! The weather was less than ideal, yet their amazing staff were able to get as many lifts open as possible for people to ski. Would love to try their golf courses and family summer activities!

The mid week ski free deal is awesome and totally worth it. We celebrated our anniversary here and it was a great location to get away. The resort is cozy and clean and the lodge is a great place to hang out in after a long dau of snowboarding and skiing. There are plenty of places to ski or snowboard down the hill and the staff was nothing but friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend.

Great overnight escape. Wonderful pool and inside/outside hot tub which is very large. Huge updated rooms. Taylor at the front desk was great. Plan on atleast 2 hours for dinner at Bistro 210. Service was OK. Food is overpriced and over cooked. My burger was very dry. Strip steak ordered medium rare was well done.

Went skiing for the weekend with a group of friends. I had never skied or done anything similar to it. It was so much fun and I cannot wait to go back. The rental process was super easy despite me not knowing anything about skiing, the employees were nice and quick to help me when I had questions. I only went down two hills since I am new to skiing. It was a great experience and I hope to return a few more times this season.

This resort is gorgeous and the slopes are great . Skiing and snowboarding are so much fun and the staff is so welcoming and helpful. I stayed in the Lodge and the rooms were small but nice , the breakfast buffet at the lodge is so delicious called ( Bistro ) Staying at the lodge gives you the perk of being able to walk everywhere !

Everything you need for a great family winter getaway! Nice room, GREAT indoor heated pool/hot tub, food options and skiing/snowboarding. Shout-out to the front desk for being very helpful and accommodating. Looking forward to coming back!

An artsy, upscale, well-maintained and self-contained village in the countryside beside Ch. Lake. Many activities available in the busy summer season, but we appreciated quiet walks on uncrowded paths in the fall off-season. Very leashed-dog-friendly. Leisurely 12 mph speed limit is not always adhered to in the off season.

I was very disappointed in the Chautauqua Institute. I have heard about this campus for years but this was my first time attending an event. We went to see Harry Connick Jr. and he is a fantastic entertainer. We all (10 of us) enjoyed his show. We invited my parents, who are both 88 years old to come. There were not enough shuttles to transport people from the welcome center to the amphitheater. During the concert, a storm with heavy rain, thunder and lightning started. Only 2 shuttle buses were available to transport all those people back to the welcome center. Most people walked but there was not enough street lights to see where to go and the brick street we were told to use was slippery from the rain. If you wanted a ride to the parking lot you had to stand and wait for a different shuttle. They had the welcome center closed so we couldn't use the restrooms. The lights on the exterior of the building were off making it unsafe as all those people stood in the dark waiting for transport.Also, a 4000 seat facility should have more restrooms. The line for the ladies room was terrible. It should have an entrance and an exit with more stalls, sinks and hand dryers.

It is a vacation of culture with fantastic lectures based on a theme each week of a 9-week season. There is theater, opera, The symphony all in a lovely setting along lake Chautauqua.

Free concert on Sunday. They flagged us in to the parking. Secrity was way over the top. But, the icing on the cake? You had to pay $10 to leave. Every car!You can count on us thinking twice before setting foot on these grounds again!

We came on a Sunday and rollerbladed around the campus. It was a great afternoon! We took a break by the little beach and were glad that the bathrooms were open and very clean. We took some paper towels to dry off our wet feet before putting our roller blades back on and continue exploring.

Last weekend I was the guest of a friend at the Chautauqua Institution to hear conservative pundit Jason Riley, who is originally from Buffalo, went to my Alma mater - University of Buffalo, sits on the Editorial Board of the Wall Street Journal and is a Fox News contributor. I told him before he signed my book, that I disagreed with him on somethings, Jason's response, ".. are you sure you want me to sign your book?". It's been a quite a few years since I've been back, but the place looks the same. What's different, I got the impression that some people felt that they didn't have the freedom to have, or hear certain thoughts in certain venues on the facility grounds. A week later, a world famous author who I've met before, did security for, Salman Rushie, that has spoken in Buffalo was attacked in the very venue that I enjoyed a religious service. The irony, his intended conversation was to talk about freedom of speech in the United States of America. Our country, unfortunately, is so polarized presently, that it's almost impossible for people to just listen to one another. I was invited out to dinner recently, place of my choice, I picked Hutch's. I was told we couldn't go there because the owner supported Trump and gun rights advocates. What does that have to do with a good steak? If the person is not preaching hate, nor advocating violence , people have the right to believe in what they want as long as it doesn't infringe on your personal rights. If we can't have a coffee, or medium steak and sensible conversation- agreeing to be disagreeable, nothing but problems lies ahead for our country🇺🇸

This was my first trip to Chautauqua Institute to see Sean Astin...it did not disappoint! The grounds are pristine and beautifully preserved. I plan on coming back all summer long.

Arts commune? Educational complex? Entertainment festival? I’m not really sure that Chautauqua fits any one of these, as it is truly a little bit of everything. I hadn’t been to Chautauqua in over a decade and my latest trip was brief, but they have gotten more diverse and inclusive with both programs and attendees. There’s still room for improvement, and the grounds still have that late 19th century look and feel, but the new direction is a breath of fresh air.

Beautiful place to visit when you need to quit smoking.

We visited on the off-season. Really enjoyed the picturesque houses and gardens. The lake and surrounding area was beautiful. There were lots of little shops, but due to timing and COVID only a few were open. We had fun popping into those. Overall, we had a great time. My only concern is that it might be haunted?

This place defies explanation. It is a wonderful setting to recharge your batteries. Music, talks, dance, opera, inspiration, reflection, art, etc. all in a sylvan setting.

I love Lucy and I love this museum! Highly recommend if you are a fan! So many beautiful displays, opportunities to have your photo taken in several sets for $10 for 3 minutes. Short videos of her and Desi along with so many props, outfits and photos.

We preferred the I Love Lucy museum part the most. I would suggest NOT doing this museum and the National Comedy Center in 1 day. It's a bit much. I think I would have enjoyed it more if we would have done them on separate days. Overall I enjoyed it. Learned a lot about Lucille Ball that I didn't know.

Had the Best time with my sisters who were visiting from Washington and California! We all Love Lucy and the Jamestown, NY Museum did not disappoint. Pro tip: spend the $10.00 for the E.T.H.E.L.! There is a lot of content, videos etc on that device that they could not possibly fit into the Museum. It really added a lot to our experience. If you have headphone ear cushions bring them!!! The gift shops are adorable and paying to be on the set of the iconic New York apartment and take pictures was like a dream come true! We Loved every minute of it!! We went on a Friday at 11:00am in April 2024.

My family and I really enjoyed visiting this museum! The museum is divided into two different buildings (next to each other). One has all the history about the show and the other is more about Lucy and Desi’s personal lives. We were also able to take pictures in the replicas of the living room & kitchen sets.

My friend and I stopped in to see the Lucille Ball/Desi Arnaz Museum on a Sunday in October. There were only a few people there so we didn't have to contend with any crowds. We really enjoyed the museum and loved learning about the life of Lucy and Desi. There were many photos as well as memorabilia from the I Love Lucy show. There were recreations of the different sets that have been part of the I Love Lucy show. Throughout the exhibit there are tv screens showing snippets of different I Love Lucy shows as well as interviews, etc. There is a second building next door that is part of the museum and it features Lucy and Desi's life outside of I Love Lucy. Both buildings are well worth your visit. We spent about an hour in each building. Both have gift shops if you want to take home a Lucy souvenir. Admission into the museum was about $19 per person and gave us access to both buildings.Accessibility: The entire museum is very wheelchair friendly. However, while using the restroom I found it nearly impossible to maneuver my chair into the stall in a way where I could fit the chair and simultaneously reach the grab bars. Grab bars should be on the left AND the right of the toilet.

We visited on a Friday. Had a great time and learned a lot more about Lucy and Desi. They are responsible for a lot more of the entertainment industry than they get credit for. We bought the combo ticket and parked in the free lot for the Comedy Center which is a short walk away. I took a lot of pictures of future movies to watch. You can start the museum from either entrance (corner or black awning). Gift shop prices were reasonable. We spent about 2.5 hours here.

Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were some of the most iconic and influential stars from the earlier days of Hollywood, radio and TV. This museum is actually two museums. One celebrating their personal lives and the other focusing on their professional lives. Props, costumes, letters, furniture and much more on display here as well as short videos documenting their lives. Definitely a must see for the fan of America's original TV couple.

Amazing experience.You need to see both museums. One is based on Lucy’s earlier part of her life, one on the latter. Make sure you see both to get the complete picture. This one is the latter part, the Desilu years, where she produced many TV shows including Star Trek and Andy Griffith. See the innovations they had after they took over the RKO set. There’s some great pieces of historical gear here including “the Monster” three headed video viewer to review the dailies.

Dream come true! Highly recommend visiting the I Love Lucy Museum. It was an immersive & magical experience. There is so much to see! The town of Jamestown was nice, too.

What an experience! There is so much to see and learn about Lucy and Desi's life. They contributed and enhanced much in the entertainment business. There is some seating while walking that is helpful. Easy access bathrooms. Took us 3 hours to fully enjoy, but they offer a return visit all day and a combo price for the national comedy museum. Be sure to find the 4 murals in town, iconic images that will spark memories.

My husband and I spent one lovely afternoon in this charming museum. The museum is split into two separate buildings. One deals with Lucy‘s life and one with her career. Both buildings are full of many familiar scenes and Momentos. One highlight was seeing the actual set of the living room, kitchen, and the hotel suite from when they visited Hollywood. There’s a great deal of information about their lives and careers. This museum is a real treat for those of us who have been in love with Lucy our whole lives❤️

If you remember the show, you will find the museum interesting. A good amount of memorabilia and it was interesting to read about their history. It doesn't take that long to get the museum but it was a different fun stop on our road trip. Buy online and take advantage of some of the discounts. The gift shop was a little pricey for some of the items (a little picture frame was $30).

Second time visiting and second time loving the experience. There are two different sections to see. One side is all about their lives from childhood all the way through their careers. The other is dedicated more to the shows. It's so amazing seeing everything and going through how they came to be one of the most iconic and recognizable couples in showbusiness. When we went on the side where they go through the show you can pay an extra $10 and they will take you picture on the recreated set which was an amazing feature. The kids loved it. They asked "Why isn't everything in black and white like on the show?" That's when one of the staff members came up and explained everything to them and even in terms they understood. Due to it being a little slower while we were there she even walked through partially with us and explained so many more aspects of things that you wouldn't normally learn. Will definitely be visiting again.Also close by are her childhood home, which you can drive by but not tour due to someone living there, her final resting place which you can visit, and the park (where she used to work over the summers as a teen selling hotdogs) where there are two statues in her honor. It's really a great experience all around.

I revisited my childhood memories! I LOVED going down memory lane. You have to be a TRUE fan to appreciate this museum. There is FREE street parking for up to 2-hours MAX, PER DAY. Please don’t attempt to get over. I saw a vehicle with a parking violation. The entry cost is $21 for adults. YOU GOTTA DO the set photo session for $10. I HAD SO MUCH FUN doing this. A museum associate takes as many pictures as you’d like WITHIN THREE MINUTES. You can only sit on the couch in the apartment. The STAFF are extremely friendly! The souvenirs are reasonably priced but it is a museum. ;)

What a great museum this was! The entire history of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz all Under One Roof. I like the second half of the museum better than the first because it gave a greater insight into their lives and into their show. This museum has the same excellent quality and star power as those that you would see in museums located in Los Angeles or Hollywood ! I also learned that Lucille Ball was a visionary who was directly responsible for starting the Star Trek franchise. This museum is a little gem, and I read that the only reason it exists is because Lucy's children had it built in her memory. I would definitely return again! I even bought a Desilu hat!

Definitely worth visiting, the replica of both the New York and California sets were pretty amazing. Spend the extra $10 and get the photo on the set! Highly recommended! Lots of artifacts from Lucy and Desi.

As someone from the infamous Generation Z, I found this museum an awesome tribute to two awesome film stars. There are two museums, as most of these reviews say. :) One dedicated to the show, and one to their personal lives. Both of them were excellent! Great for anyone with a sense of fun and humor!

Didn’t know this museum existed. We found it by looking up things to do near Kinzua Bridge State Park, and so glad we did! Every Lucy fan will enjoy this museum: recreated “I Love Lucy” sets, costumes and props, and lots of ‘behind the scenes’ info. The museum has two sections. One is all about the “I Love Lucy” show, and the other is the story of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz and their family. Very interesting! We were there for about two hours and saw everything. $21 entry ticket for an adult. Off street parking. Nice gift shops. If you have the chance, go!Not associated with the museum, but if interested, near by are the house Lucy was born in, her childhood home, the Lucille Ball Memorial Park, and the cemetery where she is buried.

Mom and I went here for her 50th birthday! Was very nice and got good photos on the sets together! Super wholesome time! It has a lot of her outfits, so for anyone into design and vintage fashion (like me), will love it! Also very easy to digest information: concise but also super informative!

An amazing place to visit. Part museum and full of history, and part store showCASEing the awesome knives and Zippo lighters famous around the world. Super clean and great knowledgeable and friendly staff. We spent a lot of time exploring this place and went back again the next day as well. Parking is free on site.

Excellent accessibility inside the museum and store. The handicap parking spaces sleep something to be desired though. A pick up truck was parked 1 foot into the handicap spot, not allowing us room to park our van. We ended up parking on the street in the rain. But the museum was excellent. A very exciting way to learn history of zippo lighters, and case knives. I will be back.

Very interesting little museum.Hippos are life time warranty guaranteed, if you have one, they will fix it, repair it, all for free in their museum workshop. That is only opened til 2pm daily, but they will take your information and will ship it back to you free of charge once repaired.They have a gift shop as well.

Awesome history and personal stories of American GI's experiences with Zippo lighters. Original "blueprints" on display and a video of their history in a nice viewing room with benches to sit and watch the history of both the Zippo and the Case companies. Beautiful displays, great history and a full product line for sale. We really got a kick out of the Zippo Jeep, Zippo lighter car and, inside the store, they have a Harley with a Zippo decorated gas tank!❤ So much fun!

This place was awesome. The zippo museum was incredible. A vast selection of lighters and case knives are available for purchase. Here’s a place to appreciate the history of both Zippo Lighters and Case Knives. While the museum is small, it allows you to understand the importance of what appears to be such an everyday item.I will note that parking is limited. There is additional parking but outside the museum entrance.

They have a few cars that are branded by Zippo & Case, one car was designed to look likea rolling Zippo lighter. big zippo lighter & a Case style knife greets you as you enter the museum. I should mention that admission here is FREE!! Yes, I’ll say it again, FREE! The gift shop is the first area that you will experience as you enter the museum.Adorning the gift shop walls are cases of zippo lighters & Case knives. As my eyes danced over allthe wonderfully designed Case knives my mind was playing the “need it, got it, want it” game. As you look at the Case knives in the display cases, you will see small white tags with a stock number & price, oh yes, YOU can buy your favorite Case knife here.Pay attention to those prices though, They can range from mild to wild.This gives you the opportunity to peruse all of the Zippo & Case knife goodness. They are the M-3 Fighting Knife & the V-42 Stiletto (They also make a very nice USMC fighting knife). Another fun fact is the Case also made knives for certain NASA missions, The M-1 Astronaut Knife.I was blown away by all the movies that the Zippo lighters has appeared in. There is a part of theMusem where they have a TV playing all the movies that the Zippo has appeared in. I mean John McClain (Bruce Willis) wouldn't have been able to navigate those airducts, set off that fire alarm or lit Hans Grobbers cigarette without his trusty Zippo!!In the end, I will always tell you that you simply must come & experience this place.

If you like these two American icons you’ll find this place really interesting! There is a Case knife museum and the Zippo lighter museum with shop stores for both. Both museums are packed with rich history and beautiful relics on a timeline that really shows the story and history of each. Plus there’s no cost to get in!

It's worthwhile to visit this place. You can spend 2-3 hours here depending on how interested you are in aircraft and Canadian aeronautics history. Kids can also have some fun as they get to sit in the co*ckpit of real fighter planes and if you are 12 and above they have a flight simulator as well.

Girlfriend took me here for a visit. It was a great experience overall. It's beautiful and a true staple of real world history. The volunteer guides are also great and provide you with a great deal of knowledge and expertise. The older gentleman, Mr. Alex, in particular was great and really enthusiastic to share his knowledge of the place and the history attached to it. They even let you sit on some of the planes and when the weather is good, you can fly in them.

We went with a group of 30 seniors. We had called ahead, so we had 3 tour guides. Wonderful tour guides, highly recommended to add to your experience of the museum. We have seen the Lancaster bombers fly overhead, now we were able to see how massive they are! Take your kids and grandkids to learn about the sacrifice many young men made for our freedoms. We were gratified to see a display about Operation Manna where food was dropped into the Netherlands after the hunger winter of 1944.Thank you to your amazing volunteers!

This has been the most amazing experience I’ve ever been to in Canada. Every single person that works there interacted with nothing with positivity and love and care about the place and also educated. I won hundred percent recommend this place but also to bring your kids to teach them.Thank you for an amazing tour and I cannot wait to go back again.

This place is always fun. Lots of classic planes and the staff are friendly and always willing to provide information. We have never done it, but they also offer paid flights on classic aircraft which would be awesome. There is a good selection of classic warplanes and training aircraft. Well curated with lots of info on displays. The Lancaster is so impressive up close.

It's a fascinating look at the aviation technologies and hardware throughout the RCAF history, and to be able to get a good look and information about the planes.The staff is VERY knowledgeble and also very friendly. You can book flights on some of the historic planes, but we chose not to. Also on dry days there are some other planes outside the building, we missed out as we were visiting during a downpour.A great place to take kids too.

Probably one of my favourite places to visit; I go often alone just cause I’m fascinated. Last time; they had vintage wheels and wings, which was super fun! Definitely recommend checking this place out; there’s so much to see at the museum as well!

Excellent! We were met at the entrance by Mr. Tony Houghton, a volunteer at the Museum who guided us around the Museum for a couple of hours. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The boys, aged 4 and 8, enjoyed his attention to take them on a private tour of numerous planes where they could sit in the co*ckpits; and, he provided them with interesting and fun facts about the planes. We also enjoyed our lunch at the Museum’s Runway Cafe. The Museum is well-kept, the volunteer staff is courteous and the historic planes a must-see! We recommend this as a great place to bring kids of all ages, especially on a rainy day.

It's quite fun for everyone. Kids really enjoyed it, and so did I, but kids need more interactive stuff for kids to do and be more interested and aware of the history of these beautiful planes and the magnificent people and what this country has done for the people. also more information about all the planes, like guides telling people about what aircraft they are admiring and information about it. I found that alot of staff were just standing around or sitting around talking to each other and not actually doing anything like answering questions.

It’s a lovely museum. I would say for plane enthusiasts and those interested in the history of Canada’s war efforts, this place is amazing. The staff are doing a great job restoring the old planes and the guides are very knowledgeable. For the average person it’s worth a visit.

The Canadian Warplanes Heritage museum is a fantastic place to go to. Seeing these vintage aircraft on display is amazing. The hangar is full of Canadian military aviation history that everyone should go and see. The staff and volunteers are so friendly and have lots of stories about the history of these aircraft. The hangar is very clean and you can even go for a ride in one of their vintage aircraft.You can jump into the pilot seat of some display aircraft, look at the avionics instruments, learn about aircraft technology, like engines/ ejection seats/ armament, and see how museum staff and volunteers are restoring these vintage aircraft back into an airworthy condition.You may like seeing the beautiful art pinups girls or wacky characters that was painted on the aircraft's nose to boost morale of airmen and airwomen who served in Canada's armed forces.I loved going here and you will too. If you like my reviews, videos or photos let your thumb soar high in the sky.

A truly outstanding area, so unique and rich with history. There is something special about this museum, the volunteers who work here are full with enthusiasm about the planes.This is a fantastic learning experience for all tourists or enthusiasts in the local area. Amazing museum, a must visit! And they are extremely sweet and helpful. They give u ana amazing tour and tell h stories of how the planes went through the war and were rebuilt. The cafe too is really nice good portions very wel priced. Lastly you also get to sit in 3 of the planes. It’s a very cool experience! And they have a flight simulator too. Must go with kids.

You will enjoy your time here if you like airplanes and history. You will learn a lot from these airplanes. Some are still air worthy and some are just for display. You can also go up to the co*ckpit of certain airplanes. If you really like to experience flying with these vintage airplanes, you can buy a flight from 20-60 minutes depending on the aircraft. Check their website for details. Don't forget to check their gift shop on your way out.

My son and I visited in June 2023 and absolutely loved it! Great staff and a beautiful collection of aircraft inside and outside. Well stocked gift shop. Going again soon! I'm a ham but nobody was in the radio room, maybe next time!

Nice museum a bit smaller than expected. The gift shop is pretty good, there’s a runway cafe you can eat and if you’re lucky you may get to see planes taking off / landing. The key part of the museum is you get to sit in the co*ckpit of about 3 planes… that’s pretty cool.

I was stunned to see the actual warplanes in the museum. We were team of 10. Special thanks to our genius tour guide "NIKITA". He was awesome throughout the visit. He explained everything very well and even answered our questions. During our visit, he never seemed to be tired and was very eager to show us everything about almost all the war planes. If I were the owner, I would have given him raise. Keep on saying same things is sometimes annoying, but it seemed that he was enjoying his job and guided us the way like a professor. I really appreciate him and whole team of the museum.

Our kid would love to provide his review on his amazing experience on Saturday , Feb 17 ( over the Family Day Weekend ) at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum .I visited Canadian Warplane Heritage museum during the Family Day weekend in 2024. The place was busy and lots of families were visiting. They had lots of things to do and a ton of planes . The gift shop was near the entrance and was very big . There was quite a few build up airplane models to choose from . I picked an F-119 model. There was an astronaut session followed by autograph line up .The various country flags displayed at this centre denoted the countries participated in receiving training in flying.I came across a model of a plane showcasing how and where it carry’s its missiles on the plane. Also, I got a chance to hop onto a passenger plane which on warmer weathers takes flight. I saw the co*ckpit . It had loads of navigation related set ups . This plane takes a round of Niagara Falls at 35,000 ft height .There was also a giant inflatable planetarium . It took me on a ride to the moon also explains how the craters are formed and every few million years lava arises from inside of the moon .Overall the experience was really good . The only issue was parking was full and we parked in the over flow parking area.The staff were very nice and explained how the planes worked . Kuddos to the team for organizing such an exciting experience .If you are 12 years and above you could also take part - Flyzone at Canadian Warplane Heritage museum . I look forward to this next year as well !!

I recently visited the Canadian Heritage Warplane Museum, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. It's always fun visiting the Warplane Heritage Museum on a rainy day. They have loads of aircraft used by the Canadian military from World War II and later. If you're lucky, you can see the engineers working on the aircraft, you can walk around the hangar, step aboard a few of the planes, and in the spring to autumn months even pay for a flight on one of the classic aircraft. They have a cafe onsite if you're hungry, and also flight simulators if you are interested. Great for young children.

I visited this museum with my 20 month old who's into planes. He loved watching them.And I personally loved learning a lot about Canadian planes. It's a fascinating place with friendly staff.

My scout group spent the night during the museum’s Night-Op event and had a blast. Well restored and maintained war planes; knowledgeable and passionate volunteers and staff made the visit fun and educational. Plenty of free parking.

Such a fun and informative museum. This Museum featuring dozens of Canadian military planes, plus aviation exhibits & flight simulators.The planes are beautifully restored. The exhibits are excellent, so much history, and so many great personal stories. A good experience for any age. Every single person that works there, interacted with nothing with positivity and love and care about the place and also educated.

Highly recommend visiting. Seeing the planes up close is a great experience. Plus, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Took the kids today for their first skiing lesson. The line was winding outside, which I thought would take forever. I booked everything online including the rentals. AMAZING STAFF! That line moved so fast, and the kids were geared up in no time. If we were in line 10 mins that would an over estimate.The trainer Selena was amazing, kids were talking about her and their experience the rest of the day. They had a blast, despite the light rain.Looking forward to many more lessons.A big thank you to the whole staff at Holiday Valley!

Took Mom here today for a Mother-Daughter Day! We had so much fun laughing, drinking, relaxing and swimming! Thank you Holiday Valley!

Decent hotel pricing but the staff was unpleasant. Especially the lift ticket cashier. Old sour lady with glasses. We were there to check out the eclipse and the lift was running people up to the top and back. We weren’t skiing as it was April 8. So we walked to the lift and the employee there said we had to buy a ticket. We didn’t see anyone else with tickets. Apparently it was an $80 per person package you had to buy through the resort that was never offered or mentioned when we paid for the room. You got a plastic cup, eclipse glasses and a lift ticket. If you wanted just the lift ticket, that was $30 each. So four of us, my wife and two kids needed $120 to ride the one time up and back. That seemed unreasonable. Back to sour puss, when I said that, she slammed the window in my face as a Frank You, very rude.The hot dog cookout they said was there was not a cookout at all. They were serving food in the cafe. That was what they called a cookout. The cash bar was just the regular ski bar. The breakfast they served for the hotel patrons was 7 am to 10 am. It was packed with no seats available and we were there by 7:10 am. One family of six commandeered a couple tables and stayed from the time we got there to scrape together something to eat until we left and came back through the lobby at 9 am. They had a baby and two kids under 10, the mom and dad and the mother in law. It was ridiculous to spend two hours camped out on a continental style breakfast with as big of a crowd as there was. We had two kids and we were finished in less than 30 minutes. Smh. People are inconsiderate when it comes to common sense and several people complained to staff but nothing was said to the family for two hours. It was a madhouse and again, the staff was not prepared and had no clue how to handle the mass of people there. Can’t even begin to imagine what this place would be like in peak ski season. We won’t be going back. The place was old and dated back to its heyday of 20 years ago. Actually wasn’t bad facilities, and I took a lot of pictures. The staff just didn’t want to deal with the day.

Fab local resort! Great runs, some express lifts, scenic resort.Good terrain for every level.They are short staffed, but who isn't these days 🤷It's best to get here on weekdays as the weekends are packed.They need to make some serious safety improvements to the base of "the wall" , as we witnessed a man dangling for his life head first from a bridge, under a fence over a road where "the wall" gets less steep. 😳 A member of our group helped pull him to safety.

We stayed here and attended a family wedding celebration throughout a long weekend. The location and surrounding area are mountainous and beautiful. The quaint and nostalgic town of Ellicotville has lots of breweries, restaurants, nightlife and shops. We discovered some great new delicacies like the "Beef on Weck" sandwich, "close to Buffalo" wings and "Sponge Candy." We had some small issues with the room on check in but the situation was handled very well by the front desk manager Shawn and his staff! We played a visually amazing round of golf on the mountain side on Sunday afternoon and witnessed a spectacular display of fireworks above the Yodeler Lodge where the wedding was held! We even had a chance to visit the Canadian side of Niagra Falls, just over an hour away. Overall a wonderful experience had by all at a beautiful resort in the Appalachian Mountains! 🥰

Really fun ski resort with several lifts and plenty of trails. There are 3 terrain trails this year and 1 is perfect for beginners. If you get hungry, there are plenty of choices in a few different lodges and they also have food options near some of the lifts. I think this is my favorite East coast resort and recommend you don't hesitate to go.

Just returned from a long weekend at Holiday Valley. The conditions, variety of trails and number of convenient lifts was outstanding! We stayed at the Inn which was very comfortable and convenient since it was less than 50 yards from a lift. The indoor/outdoor pool was great as well! Already planning our next trip!

Very nice ski resort. Good amount of terrain. Only downside is that there are only a couple of runs that access the entire vertical. Some fun steep wide open slopes and a nice set of glades. Stayed at the Inn at Holiday Valley. Nice room, easy 50 yard walk to the slopes. Fun indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub. Will definitely go back.

Pretty cool place during the summer.The pool has a fee for anyone not staying in the resort. I think anyone can just walk in a start swimming. No one really checks or even bothered asking us if we paid.I wish they had more events in this place and entertainment, especially on the weekends.Nevertheless, it was a nice place and very relaxing environment.

First time visiting this ski destination resort and pleasantly surprised at the variety and quality of ski runs and base lodges (3). A family friendly atmosphere that appeals to all skiing level’s including tree skiing, but watch out for exposed stumps 😖 We stayed at resort- managed condos less than 5 minutes away with easy check in and close to town.The ratings would be higher if the resort could communicate parking lot spaces, operating lifts and runs status, otherwise good value for the money

Paradise on earth. This place is some of the best east coast snowboarding I've been to. While the rides won't be what you'd expect out in Colorado or some other big mountain resort, Holiday Valley makes up for it with great amenities, kind staff, and a wonderful charm.

First time skier or snowboarder? Well, this resort has the package for you. $80 for the equipment and lessons with a loft ticket to the bunny slopes. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. By the time I was done, the instructor said I was a level 3 beginner. You've got a customer for life. I can't wait to bring my whole family next time.

We had a great time at Holiday Valley at the very end of the season. My wife and daughter learned a lot from Ness on Tanenbaum. The pond skimming was a lot of fun to watch and a great way to wind down our trip.We are already planning our next trip and bringing friends.

This was my first ever place that i have been to skiing in the USA and i liked it a lot. The resort is big and has a lot of options for beginners and amateurs and professionals. It’s distance to Buffalo Niagara Falls is a plus point. The hotel we stayed at night was a very good place too.

Just a short scenic drive from the Alpine House. Holiday Valley benefits from lake effect and gets more natural snow than any other major ski areas in New York. Very familiar friendly and perfect for new to experienced skiers and snowboarders.

Our first time here and my son had a great time. Our ski instructor was so kind and patient. Although the snow was all man-made, my son was still able to learn fairly quickly.

We enjoy going to this casino. It’s low key and not sensory overload with noise. The crowd is a more mature, relaxed crowd, with a good vibe. It’s easy to get to, the parking lots are safe and and easy to get in and out of. Service is quick and the slots are fair. The bar is right in the middle and easy to get to. We enjoy going there and blowing off some steam.

NY state got a donation today...I didn't win 😔 place is clean and well run. Be sure to have your official ID out before entering. Also ya now have to go thru metal detector and they look thru your bag or purse before allowing you in. Bathrooms are very clean. Complimentary water and soda in the back corner....nice.

We always enjoy going to the Hamburg casino for a number of reasons. We find the staff very friendly and helpful the food and beverage prices are very affordable and it very clean and a safe place. The no smoking in the casino is also another benefit. They have a section for smokers along with different types of gaming machines so if you need to smoke you don't have to go outside.

Usually I don't do reviews unless something was exceptional or something that really bothers me, but last night was an Exceptional Night at Hamburg Gaming. The fish fry was EXCELLENT, fresh, good portion, and well worth the $15. The country band was also Exceptional.

All the way from Texas, and I have to say this place is ok. I never expect to win so I won't rate that. They have a ton of games but the 4 stars is because they don't have any $1 nine line slots.

Loved playing the slots. I actually won! I ordered some hot chicken wings. The worst Buffalo wings that I have ever had! They were soggy and some of the skin on the wings were chewy and felt like rubber. Also, the celery was soft and tasted like they were boiled and soggy.

By far the worst casino I've ever been too. Small, boring machines, terrible promotions. I had a promotion for a rinky dink $20 free play and the machine printed the ticket incorrectly and I couldn't even use it! I called for service and finally after 30 minutes and $200 dollars later, I was told that the promotions desk was closed and they were the only folks who could reproduce the ticket! Money guzzling place and it's not even fun there..in fact it smells like urine inside. Don't waste a trip to this terrible casino.

This is a review for Indulge @ Hamburg Gaming. It is convenient when going to the casino. This is the only good thing I can say.Prices are ridiculous for the amount of food you get. I had the chicken sandwich, all roll very thin piece of chicken. To substitute for something other than fries, price is abit high.Very disappointed with this place. I will never again eat here.

Very nice establishment the people are friendly and the food is good but it can be very painful to loose your money they also have live bands sometimes and sports to watch. You can even play lottery! Well kept casino and pleasant people working there. Payouts are as good as Batavia Downs. Both casinos have free self serve coffee and soft drinks. Has a decent fish fry. Very clean, staff are extremely friendly. Great chicken wings at the small restaurant and Cyclone Bar has great drinks, especially their Long Island Ice Teas. So far, my experience with Delaware North and everyone at Hamburg Gaming has been fantastic.During my interview and on boarding, Toni (in HR) and Chef Brian were extremely welcoming. I was worried that they would not be as positive/understanding and friendly once I was actually hired.But, those worries proved to be unfounded.Everyone that I have interacted with so far has been extremely friendly and helpful. I look forward to working with the Hamburg Gaming staff for foreseeable future.

I can't believe the young red head lady at indulge!!! I spend thousands in this place every single week I didn't become a diamond member in a month for no reason!! She was so nasty and rude to me ... How dare you. I stood there patiently waiting for the supervisor but they were extremely busy so I just left !! On top of this .. the same employee was definitely high on something her mouth was twitching and eyes and she was very jumpy.. Ridiculous to let her even work today that's how obvious it was that she was under the influence of something!! I was so disgusted with the whole situation!! Not a big gambler, went there to try out the Indulge restaurant. Food was excellent, very generous portions, in fact personally I would have preferred a smaller portion and decreased price. Had the meatloaf poutine and took it home for two more meals. Reuben was also excellent.

The casino was clean and spacious. There were complimentary drinks (coffee, tea and pop) . A waitress took my friends' alcoholic drink orders and brought them their drinks at the machines. We played mainly Penny slots. My friends smoked so we ducked into the smoking room, it was packed and cramped, we didn't stay there long. All the employees were encountered were friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. We had a good time. They won, I lost. (Boo, lol) I'd go back again.

Great place for any age!! The trail is a great place to go on a nice day out!! The old canal also has some trails you can explore that bring you along a really historic area!! Love going here to relax and just go for a peaceful walk! Great place for a bike ride to the pth is all paved and ready to go! These pictures are from the old canal trail just a few minutes away from Glendale Bridge!!

These canals are always interesting. Such a great idea of moving ships up or down. Nice to walk around when it's not that busy and watch the ships pass.

We had no GPS but we drove around till we found it and it was so cool. A ship was going through.

Do find the Canal system very interesting and worthwhile. Some of the ships exhaust is very black and the smell is terrible. The bridge notification system is terrible. This is causing people to waste fuel by racing to the next bridge because there was no mention that the bridge was about to go up. Can be hard to cross for work or appointments and also emergencies.

Just an FYI the directions for this pin are incorrect it will just take you to a dead end street. Search for the Welland Locks instead.

Enjoyed this very much, it has restrooms, a picnic area and also some educational items. Oh and ships too

I have to say it’s one of the most fun rides I’ve had watching the big ships go by in the locks and all. I did half from east to west ,welland.. before the end of this week I will do the other half going to Lake Erie and continue to push shirkston area and come back should be about 80 km or so. A wonderful bike ride for a day.

Gorgeous spot to walk, ride your bike, rollerblade, run etc. Long trail that goes from St. Catharines to port colborne! Gorgeous scenery and you can see ships going through the lock systems. Lots to see and do along here - water sports, sight seeing, museum at lock 3, viewing at lock 7. Very accessible. Beautiful spot in Niagara. Highly recommend

I really love this place, nice to take a walk or ride a bicycle.

Very cute carousel! A St. Catharines tradition. 5¢ per ride donation recommended. You can only ride one person per animal, so if you have a small child you'll just be standing beside them.

We visited on a rainy day and it was not busy at all. The carousel is covered, so it wasn't an issue. There is a combination of moving and stationary animals. Also, for 5 cents a ride you can't go wrong.

This entire area has been completely restored in the last few years, and it is one of the most fantastic places in the city! The beach and the green are both beautiful! The concession is expanding if you don't like the concession, the restaurants are also fantastic!The carousel is the star of the show! It's a 200 year old lovingly restored showpiece that works the cost is one dime per ride, and it takes debit in case you don't have change in your pocket. The staff are incredibly friendly, especially if you consider it must be pretty mundane for them to run the show all day. Stick around for a couple of rides. There are lots of fun facts about antique carousels. There are about 200 hand-built and hand-painted animals on the carousel, and it's a great place to take photos.This is not a great place to bring your car. If you are from out of town, consider parking in the grocery store or drugstore parking lots, and taking the bus down. They're only 30 or 40 parking spots, and the streets are very narrow.I consider myself extremely lucky to live here and to be able to get down there with my kids three or four times a summer.

Quite the piece of History, Still 5 cents per ride, the Horses actually have Real horse hair tails. It's amazing

We're very enjoy the moment no matter how many times you visit & walk on the beach or the sand never gets old. The beach is not a place to work; to read, write or to think, It’s a place where all worries melt away in the summer heat as you lay under your beach tent or go swimming, fishing or seating on the boat is very peaceful as well.

Oh my goodness!!! What a joyful experience that was 😁 I haven't been on a carousel in ages!! So much fun!! The Carousel is 5 cents a ride or admission by donation, we gladly paid $5. It is a stunning piece of art and history hand carved from 1898 to 1905 a Charles I.D. Looff original.

I love going here. For kids and grown up kids. All will enjoy.

It's 5 cents for a carousel ride! You can't go wrong. It's all donation based and we put in some extra money. The only thing is if you are driving, you'll have to pay for parking. But you are also going there for the beach and they have a nice playground there for kids as well.

5 cents a ride on a lovely, preserved, historical carousel. A must do for young and old. It is in a pretty beachfront area ( or it will be pretty again once all the construction is complete) Ride the assorted animals then swim picnic and take a stroll in the little Main Street for some ice cream

The carousel is fantastic. It is a labour of loved I truly think it's one of the best things about St Catherines. It's free, but I highly recommend giving a small donation to help with the maintenance.We absolutely love this park. Parking is not free, but side roads are if you don't mind a short walk. (You won't regret it,there are lots of cute homes around) Great play equipment, snack shops and bars around. Beach is well maintained and there are washrooms from May-oct, and porta potties all year. The peer is beautiful with spots to sit and look over the water.And if you are not familiar with the band Rush- they have a song about the park- lakeside park... Sums it up if you don't believe this review.

Absolutely loved it!! Beautifully restored. Operates entirely by donation. Nice playground for children and only steps to the beach on Lake Ontario. Restaurants within walking distance. Ample parking ( paid) port-a-potties on site

Always fun for kids and adults. Beautiful sceneries, nice beach and playground. I love walking along the beach, they also have nice trails for bikes. Carousel is lovely and we'll maintained. Returning there regularly.

Great park and beach. Enjoy the carousel and take a walk on the beach. If you aren't from St Catherines there is paid parking during peak season, but also free parking on the surrounding streets. Definitely worth a visit!

Grandsons really enjoyed the ride! We stood beside them on it, too, and had fun. Only 5 cents a ride, they will take any donations. We went on it 3 times. Short line for waiting.

The kids love this place… especially the .05 carousel per rider was definitely the biggest hit… the washrooms were clean and a lot of options for food …

LINES!!!!!! Be prepared to stand in line! Purchase your tickets online ahead of time. With that being said, the experience was worth the wait. To stand below these massive falls was an amazing experience. You'll get a little wet but I enjoyed it so much that we felt we didn't need to take the boat ride to the falls. I recommend it

Amazing attraction where you can get sprayed by the falls. You can hear the water rushing down the falls. Wasn’t expecting it to be this crowded on a foggy day but it was still nice to visit. Better than a similar experience on the American side I went to a few years ago. There are two portals and one big observation deck here.

Neat experience! It's exciting to see another angle of the falls, and you can explore the tunnels beneath it. It's very busy and crowded, but worth doing it especially if it's your first time visiting.Also note, you can select this and some other options in a bundle if you want to save some money. It's not too expensive if you want to do the bundles. Definitely worth checking out!

There was a line, but it moved pretty quickly. You get your rain poncho and wait to go down to the Falls tunnel. Out of three openings available, I would recommend doing just the panoramic patio. The "behind the Falls" part is nothing but a wall of water that looks like nothing. People take a million pics and it's just weird.However, the first (closest) patio/opening is the best to view the Falls from the side. Absolutely stunning views. Prepare to get wet! ;) But worth it. Skip the "behind" part and just enjoy the view from the patio.

We purchased the package, which cost roughly $50/person and included 5 attractions. You can either purchase it online or in person, depending on which season you're visiting, to avoid the lineup. Journey behind the falls is located at the main building you purchase the tickets. You take an elevator down. There is 1 deck area with 2 decks. One at the top which is covered and another at the bottom which is open. There are also 2 viewing points where you basically see the water. Views from the deck was amazing but be sure to wear your ponchos. The staff took a picture while entertaining and was selling them for $40 at the exit which was messed up. The gift shops were super expensive for the quality of item they're selling.

Niagara Falls is indeed spectacular, and the scenery and travel packages on the Canadian side are better than those on the American side. However, coming in winter or early spring when it’s very cold is indeed a test for tourists’ hands holding cameras and mobile phones. The town next to Niagara Falls is very attractive, and all aspects of tourism are well done. It feels a bit like a small Disney and Universal Studios.

I highly recommend this attraction. You down under the falls in a tunnel. Then, out to observation decks to see behind the falls. The sound is so cool. Then, head out to the outside observation decks. The falls are truly a wonderful experience. We did not realize it was a Canadian holiday, so there were a lot of diverse people.

Totally worth it! Not crowded in April and a good way to see the falls up close and personal. I loved to hear the rushing water and the occasional blast of the water hitting me as I looked out of the key hole. The look out point is spectacular, a big area with a covered top and open bottom. You are right next to the falls. And you get wet! I loved it.

It was fun to be on the deck, but the tunnels were just long waits to see a small window of water crash down. It was very cool to be behind the falls. Maybe it would have felt more worth it with fewer people. Waiting for so long just to see that was, eh? But, the deck is so worth it!!

I had an incredible experience at Journey Behind the Falls! The highlight for me was the viewing platform that offers a breathtaking, up-close look at the magnificent Horseshoe Falls. It's an awe-inspiring feeling to stand so close to the rushing water. The tunnels leading to the platform were an adventure in themselves. The whole journey was well-organized, informative, and unforgettable. I highly recommend this attraction to anyone visiting Niagara Falls.

This wasn't something that I was necessarily looking forward to doing, but my husband really wanted to do it. However, I'm really happy we did it. It was something that you don't get to do all the time and you don't get that close to a super powerful and beautiful waterfall every day!

Great spot to visit while in Niagara Falls Canada. The wait to enter the stairs was about 20 minutes. After you enter the stairs we had to wait another 30 minutes or so before we got the elevator down. Once downstairs you get the opportunity to go through a couple portals to view the falls from the backside. You also are able to go outside to the observation deck and view the falls from the side. There wasn’t a long wait to get back upstairs.Overall it was a good time. A unique way of seeing the falls.

It was spring break. And ticket was cheaper and no waiting long. Happy about we went there not in summer time. They said you need to wait over an hour in the summer time~ no boat at this time so that we tried journey behind the falls. And I am glad that we did it!!!!

The first time you go, it's really impressive to see the falls that close. It's really a "must see it once in my life" type of attraction.This year was our second time and the wow facter was a little less there. There isn't really anything to do down there except taking a few pictures inside the tunnel (they don't have interactive gallery or lightning and only have a few wall boards with historical facts while waiting in line) because they don't want you to stay down there too long.It's pretty much take the elevator, wait in line 30-40 min, take a quick picture or 2 behind the falls and please go back quickly waiting in line for the elevator to let others take pictures too.Like I said, recommended to see it 1 time in your life but since nothing was added in 10 years, don't expect anything new after.

It was such a unique experience. You can really feel the power of the waterfalls underneath it. It gives a new perspective to Falls viewing and the history and use of the power generated from the Falls is fascinating too. Even though it was the Easter weekend, it was not busy. We didn't really have to line up. The photos that you get at the end of the tour are quite pricey as to be expected but we bought them because it'd be a one time investment and it's a decent family portrait that we otherwise wouldn't have. Buying the photos would be optional.

One of the touristy things to do in Niagara falls. It is always great idea to purchase the ticket in advance to avoid the queue. Having said that be ready to stand in a queue to get in and get those beautiful views, it’s definitely worth it. Make sure to wear a good footwear as the floor can be slippery. The views from the outside terrace is breathtaking. They have two floors and soak all the views and sound you can. They also click your picture like every other experience for you to get a print if you like. I went there on a weekend around 4pm and could get in without a queue but there were long queues after that. I would highly highly recommend this experience.

Really neat to walk behind the falls. Terrifying to think of how many millions of gallons of water are flowing over top of you. It's very crowded and musty, so wear your poncho and bring your patience. Lots of good photo ops.

Spectacular views. The tunnel takes you very close to the falls and the view point is amazing. It's like getting a seat in the first row.Prepare to get soaked ☺️ it's worth it and can be very refreshing in hot summer days.We went on a Saturday early June and it was a bit busy, but the staff was very helpful with keeping the visitors in organized lines.

A must-see if you're visiting the Canadian side of Niagara. The grounds of the park are beautiful. Wherever you turn, it's a photo op. The gift store and building are wonderful inside. There is plenty of shopping and assorted places to eat. Going behind the falls was once in a lifetime experience. It is for all ages, from toddlers to senior citizens, it's not too scary . You get complimentary ponchos for helping to stay dry. They came in handy, being it was a rainy day. It was a great experience for the whole family .

Really interesting experience. For some reason, the observation deck was not open. But the tunnels were cool. We waited in line to view the Cataract Portal but the line for the Great Falls portal was too long. Since the observation deck was closed, we didn't have any issues with getting wet. Still recommend the stop though. You should buy a ticket and reserve your time in advance.

Visit this world-iconic landmark.Lots to see and learn while checking out this attraction. Go behind the falls or see it from a side vantage.There will be lines and prepare yourself for a variety of groups visiting the site. Wow what a great experience to walk under the falls and feel the power of water. A true inspiration and left feeling small! Would recommend to anyone especially on a quiet day, I imagine it gets crowded during busy times.

You get into tunnels that have 3 different views. The first shows you the waterfall from a lower level. The other 2 shows the water falling, so you're basically standing behind the waterfall. It's super cool especially when the water splashes on you.

Great place to see and hear the falls up close. Down here you can really feel the mighty force of the falls. Prepare to get wet. Also the tunnels are low. Anyone over 6'5" be warned to watch your head.

Classic visit while at the falls. Not a terribly long wait, but we were there on a weekday. Kids were not huge fans (2 and 3 years old), but that's expected.The viewing platform was good (but I think the power station tunnel was better), and the behind the falls tunnel was just OK. You can't see anything but water falling from those.We had adventure passes, so well worth the experience that was included, but if I was spending my money and could only pick one...I'd go for the power station all day long.

This was part of our ticket package deal that included this, maid of the mist, cave of the winds, and the tunnel. I'd suggest looking into the ticket package as it does end up saving a bit of money and all these attractions were definitely worth it! The falls are so big and so powerful that being able to stand right next to them and watch, it's beyond words.If you are near the falls, don't miss this! *we did this from the NY side of the falls but we're residing on the ON side for that week.

We did the tour on a Saturday night at the end of May. It was probably close to 8p. It was a very cool experience. There were a couple people in front of us in line for tickets but no wait to get in. I imagine in peak seasons buying tickets ahead of time might be advantageous. There weren’t too many people in the tunnel and we didn’t wait long to get to see anything. They give you complimentary ponchos but we didn’t get too wet at any point. Out on the observation deck there was more mist but still not soaking wet or anything. It was cool to see the falls during sunset. Since there weren’t a lot of people, the tunnel was easy to navigate. If you get impatient or anxious in tight/dark quarters you might want to wait until later in the day or mediate first or something. When you see the falls up close I think you will forget all that anyway. It really is incredible. Even if you do the boat tour, do this too, it gives you another perspective.

Great experience going down in the tunnels and learning the history behind the falls. You take an elevator 125' down till you get to the tunnel and walk about 25' when it spits to the right under the falls or straight to observation area, truly Amazing views being able to see inside the tunnels under the falls and getting close enough to feel the water spashing so if you want wear the poncho they give you, I did not wear one but I had a water proof heated jacket so was not needed. When the sun goes down and lights turn on, it's an extremely gorgeous site, a great place to propose 😀 or site see.

It's amazing to feel the power of the falls. The lower deck wasn't open when we visited as it opened closer to the summertime. There was probably less of a crowd than there would be during the summer, and we didn't have to wait in line very long beforehand.

This attraction is awesome! The tunnel connects multiple openings. There is one that opens right next to the falls, and a few others that are right behind the falls. You can hear the power of the falls at those openings.The walk is short but it is amazing to be so close to the falls.

Very affordable for such a cool experience! To have the perspective to go behind the falls will give us a lasting memory! And we were suckers and bought the picture after but actually it turned out to be a great souvenir option!

I highly recommend the tour bus. Our guide was very informative, professional. We made photo stops and did not rush us as we had time to venture out and see the sites. Driver offered discounts for the added attractions. The Fall were breath taking and a must see to believe. Overall great experience.

Definitely worth your buck! Quite a bit of tourists, which is expected with a breath taking experience like this. The staff are very friendly and give you a quick history of the tunnels that were built underneath the falls. It can be a little slippery, so be sure to wear some adequate shoes.

The Journey Behind the Falls experience was part of our wonder pass and was a wonderful experience. It consisted of a short tunnel that branches into two different directions. To the left was the observation deck that gives you this pretty view of the falls (first video). Then, a little gated glimpse into the old tunnel aesthetic. When you go to the right of the fork, you are taken to the two look out points BEHIND the waterfalls (included below). You can literally feel the waterfall moving all around you as you walk through this portion of the tunnel because it is quite literally running over you. It was so cool to witness, I highly recommend!

The coolest part was going through the tunnels, and you can even see one that was abandoned. But you stand in line to see a huge sheet of water. Not sure what I was expecting, but it was OK. The best was the view from the side platform though the crowds made this hard to enjoy. It took a long time to fit any kids through the mass of people to get a good look. Fun to see the boats down in the mist and power behind all that water. Glad we went, but wouldn't go again.

This was an incredible experience.It's one of my top 5 things we've done while in Niagra. To journey 150 feet below the lake and behind the Falls is a surreal experience.It's as close as practical you might get and offers astonishing sites from below the crest of the horseshoe on a viewing deck as well.The tunnels are loud and long as you explore nearly a third of pathway behind the fall and experience two viewing portals, where you can feel and see the sheer power of the water from behind. They're wide and spacious enough that it shouldn't be overly bothersome to anyone in terms of tight spaces.It's an amazing experience for both views of the falls and the history of the tunnels and usage of the water flowing through the Niagra.The price is reasonable and worth the experience and ability to see The Horseshoe Falls up close and personal in a unique way in which otherwise isn't possible.

Another must to do when visiting Niagara Falls. Great views of the falls from above and of the surrounding area. Observation deck has plenty of room to view the falls from many angles.Great tip is to buy the day/night pass to visit the tower twice within 24 hours. The first time we went up was at sunset in late-July. They illuminate the falls every night at 8:30 or 9pm. LED light show on the falls at night is pretty to see. Fireworks show every night at 10pm on the Canadian side of the falls in front of the American Falls. We didn’t watch the fireworks from the tower, but you could as it’s open until midnight every night. Great views of the illuminated falls at night. We returned to the tower the next day with our pass and went up in the tower during the daytime. It’s nice to see the falls at both day and night. You can spend as much time as you want on the observation deck, but we stayed probably 45 minutes to a little over an hour each time we went up there. Highly recommend. Enjoy!

Tickets are at a good price if you booked it online so it is definitely worth it going here to see Niagara Falls from a different perspective. Being able to view the mist coming from the falls is amazing. It has an indoor and outdoor observation deck so you have choices if you want to view from outside or inside. The elevator staff were extremely friendly and pleasant. It’s nice to go here early in the morning so it isn’t crowded here. Amazing place to see the falls from up top!

This place is the star of the show. Easily accessible and had a lesser wait time than the SkyWheel. The elevator goes up there in about a minute so you can take some photos while going up. Once you arrive at the main entrance of the tower. You are greeted with the view of Niagara Falls. It was not that crowded at the time I went (It was a Tuesday) The view is great and you can spend unlimited time there for about 15 CAD. Overall. It's a good place to spend time and relax.

As a tourist who was unsure if doing the restaurant was worth it, if you already want to go to the top of the observation deck, I’d suggest it’s worth it to do.It’s certainly a “touristy” thing to do, but it’s probably worth it overall.DO NOT ORDER THE STEAK. It was definitely one of the most subpar steaks I’ve ever had. But the French onion soup, bread, scallops, and shrimp were some of the BEST I’ve ever had. Incredibly good tasting, slightly smaller meal sizes. But the steak was just plain bad. Don’t order it. Recommend anything else.Important to note that the minimum $49 is supposed to be $49 per person for entree specifically, however if you get good waitstaff (which they all seemed to be) you can get away with the starters counting to your total as well.Beyond that the views are spectacular. The rotating gimmick is fun. Cool to see the falls and eat with that kind of view, and if you were gonna head up for the observation deck anyway, a slightly expensive meal is probably worth it.Bread was super good, and butter is cute (see the last photo)

This spot serves the most incredible food. One tip, though: if you can, ask for a window table when making a reservation. While the inner tables still offer a view, you might have to peer past those lucky enough to snag a window seat. The food here is truly top-notch—fantastic selection, and you get a feast for the price. The chefs at this restaurant go beyond creating a meal; it's like a taste of heaven. The staff is highly professional, contributing to a fantastic atmosphere.

The Skylon Tower is a fantastic tourist attraction in Niagara. The views of Niagara Falls from the top are absolutely fabulous. On the ground floor, you'll find a nice Starbucks and a few typical touristy shops. Up at the lookout platform, there's a souvenir shop offering some great keepsakes. There are less vegetarian options.The views from the top are truly stunning, making the glass-fronted elevator ride worth every penny. However, the building's interior could use a modern touch.A tip for budget-conscious visitors: You can park affordably in the car park in front of the tower and enjoy a pleasant walk to the falls instead of shelling out $35 for the official falls parking lots. Overall, it was a worthwhile experience for anyone visiting Niagara."

An amazing view of Niagara Falls from the Skylon Tower revolving restaurant, on a quiet and clear day we had no wait to enjoy the lift and prompt service before our dinner. A good steak and vegetables with attentive staff, while the restaurant turned and gave us the best views of Niagara Falls. The cost of the dinner was offset slightly by the speedy and free access to the view, and with limited time at the Falls this was good use of our time. Just incredible views which we will always remember.

My husband , son and me had a great time going up to the viewing deck with a cute yellow elevator. The elevator staff was so creative , singing , entertaining well the guests. Up there , was so fascinating having the night view of Niagara Falls with different colour changing , on top of that fireworks . Amazing experience. Fee for the viewing deck was reasonable.I suggest to pay for day time and night time viewing. Next trip we will try the revolving restaurant.Highly recommend to try Skylon Tower!

A great experience overall, but expensive for what it is.We paid $20 for parking.We ate at the buffet, and per person it came to $75.30.The only reason I wasn’t outraged at that price, was the fact that we got to watch the fireworks over the falls from the observation deck after dinner.The dinner buffet was mediocre.There was a salad bar that had options like pasta salad, couscous salad, beet salad, pickled mushrooms, shrimp, and a few other options.The hot food section had roasted potatoes, mixed vegetables, noodles, rice, chicken fingers, French fries, meatballs, fish, roast beef, ribs, pasta, shrimp and scallops, clams, and a few others.The desert bar had 3 different tarts, squares, cookies, fruit and whipped cream, cake, cupcakes, cheese and perhaps a few I have forgotten.It did seem like you have a better chance at getting a window seat if you have a group of people rather than just 2 people.The staff were top notch! Super friendly and professional!

We lucked out going up and had minimal wait time. The walk around the top goes quick but oh my the views!! 😍 The wait to come back down was a solid 20mins and they do pack the elevator to maximum capacity. Very nice people working, and visiting which was quite refreshing given a few other stops we had made prior. Would definitely do again!

The view of Niagara falls was amazing. They don’t have many veg options and The food was very overpriced and not worth the money. Very slow service, the staff at the front desk were very rude but the person serving was great. This place is only worth going if you want an amazing view of the falls

Fabulous views of Niagara Falls from the top. The ground floor has a nice Starbucks and a few tacky tourist shops. There is also a tourist souvenir shop at the top lookout platform. The views are stunning and worth the money to ride the glass fronted elevator to the top. The whole building looks very 1960’s and needs modernisation inside.Note - it’s possible to park pretty cheaply in the car park in front of the tower and walk to the falls instead of paying $35 to park in the official falls parking lots.

A visit to Niagara Falls wouldn’t be complete without experiencing the Skylon Tower. It’s the absolute must-visit spot for capturing incredible pictures of the falls.It has two options for dine in : one with revolving restaurant and other one is buffet restaurant.I took the buffet one as I personally don’t like revolving dining, it cost me $59 for buffet including observation deck . You can wait little bit to get a window seat to click the picture with fall or to enjoy falls while eating . Although I was lucky as it was not at all busy around 9pm so I get seat with no wait.View was spectacular, as it is located 775 feet above the falls. I love this and will highly recommend to live a moment for once .observatory deck was fantastic to view and enjoy the falls .

One of the best places to see Niagara Falls city and the Falls at night. The restaurant on top has a lovely view with an included ticket to the observation floor. However the food is not worth it , since the dishes costs around 50$.

The experience was not the best. We booked a reservation in advance for 7pm, got there a few minutes early and still had to wait until after 7:30pm to get a seat. Our seat was then placed next to the servers station so we were constantly being bumped into and having to keep an eye on how we moved not to hit someone. The appetizers and dessert were fantastic but the entree was not worth the price. Service did have a few small mistakes but was overall attentive and relatively quick on such a busy night. This would be a great place for kids and tourists but don't come here expecting to have a special night among friends.

The last time I was in Niagara Falls was 40 years ago. I wanted to make this trip memorable. One of the highlights was dinner at the Skylon. Dinner and the views of the falls and surrounding areas were magnificent! Dinner here was a 5 star quality. We had the calamari appetizer and French onion soup. Both were excellent. The main course was strip steak and prime rib, and both were cooked to perfection and top-notch. Our server Rosemary was excellent and she put up with our corny jokes. The hot pecan pie with vanilla ice cream and fresh whipped cream was a nice finishing touch to a fantastic meal. With the exchange rate, and a strong US dollar, the meal was very nicely discounted. Highly recommended. Make reservations.

We recently visited the Skylon Tower and opted for the day and night pass, which allowed us to experience the observation deck both during the day and at night. This was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip to Niagara Falls.The views from the elevator and the observation deck were absolutely breathtaking. Seeing Niagara Falls from such a height was awe-inspiring, and the experience was enhanced by the amazing elevator attendant on elevator number three. He sang and danced, providing us with the best tour guide experience we could have asked for.The atmosphere was wonderful both during the day and at night, offering two unique perspectives of the falls and the surrounding area. We were also tempted by the delicious smells coming from the dining area and can’t wait to come back again to enjoy a meal.Overall, our visit to the Skylon Tower was unforgettable, and we highly recommend the day and night pass for anyone looking to get the most out of their visit. Can’t wait to return!

You will pretty much be paying for the view only. Their food is nothing extra ordinary. I have had better steaks and bigger portions for better price.Service is okay. Some are nice but not all of them.The platform is rotating, not for everyone in my family as some got dizzy.After dinner you can go up their observation deck where you can have a greater view of the Niagara falls and the city.Will I go there again? No, unless it’s for free. :))

Went for the early bird special, $49 per person 3 course meal. The restaurant revolves while you are eating and you get beautiful views of both sides of the falls. The food was worth every penny, so delicious and the service was really fast. They give you 90 minutes sitting time and there’s no budging. As soon as you finish they are rushing you out to bring in the next batch of people. Included in dinner is also the observation deck which was a great experience, you get to stand outside on the top of the tower and the view is just so beautiful

It was only a 3 minute walk from one of the main parking lots of downtown Niagara. Very nice views! They have a package to come back at night to see the falls (which we didn't do), but I would highly recommend this experience! It's kinda pricey so I wouldn't do it again.

Make a reservation! Amazing views. YES the restaurant revolves, it takes about an hour for a full rotation. They have an observation deck, food and drinks were very good but the atmosphere was even better. It's a little tight up there but service was good and attentive. You take an outside elevator car up to the tower, awesome views (pretty quick ride for those that are afraid of heights). It's a MUST, if you're ever in Niagara Falls!

Great experience visiting the Skylon Tower. This is a beautiful spot to have a slightly more upscale meal and take in the gorgeous view of Niagara Falls’ Horseshoe Falls. We had the great chance to enjoy the buffet in the lower of the two levels, there were many gluten friendly options available for me. After the delicious dinner we made our way up to the viewing deck and spent an hour watching the sunset on the falls and the beautiful lights illuminate the view.

It was a good experience. Although we got a bit lost when we went to see “The Falls 3D/4D” movie. But I highly recommend for someone that works there to put up a sign right by the escalator when coming down to the arcade because it’s separated from the tower itself. We were confused on where to go and didn’t notice a sign on the wall that was FURTHER away from the escalators.AGAIN, different building just FYI for those that buys the ticket for the video/ cinema.The view up there is nice! I highly, recommend to go there during the time when the sun is setting down and it’s becoming nighttime.They have an arcade connected to the Skylon tower but from the looks of it there wasn’t a lot of people there. I was even hesitant to go down there thinking that, that part of the building section is closed for the day.Didn’t see if there’s a restaurant connected to the tower itself but I’ve heard that it was nice.

Had such a wonderful time up there taking lots of pictures and looking at the amazing scenery. The staff are very friendly and will do anything for you . The skylon tower is well set out snd people are very friendly will do anything for you if you ask. You can have professional photos taken there I never had one but for what I saw they were cheeper than other places I have been to. I would go there again tickets were a fantastic price for the view you are gonna at the top . I recommend you go up here and tick it off your bucket list . 5 star from me.

We had an amazing Dinner here! The steak and prime rib were amazing! We ordered the calamari and had to send it back, but that was the only problem we had. The service was great, Vinny and Tom were soo great! They even sent us out a dessert on them because it was our anniversary. It was such an incredible experience. So much food we had leftovers too! So worth the price!

We visited Skylon Tower with our friends from France. We had a great time. The views are great. We didn't have to wait to go up and it wasn't really expensive. Great photos of the falls from above. We will have to try to stay during the night next time so we can see the fireworks over the falls but we had to leave in the afternoon. The staff and trainees were very friendly and informative.

Our family had an amazing time at the Skylon tower viewing the falls. We also made reservations and had dinner at the restaurant all the way at the top. We had a beautiful view of the falls for dinner. It was a little pricy, but you are paying for the atmosphere and environment. The food was good and enjoyed the service from the staff. Just be patient for the elevator and know that you are in tourist areas. Gift shops were up and downstairs. We ended buying a couple items from the shop.

Dinner was good but a bit expensive for what you get. If the tower were newer and things were a bit more updated, I would be more okay with the cost. The lower parts of the building are kinda run down and half-abandoned, which was sad to see. The views up top are the only thing that makes up for it, and they are stunning as any could be.

While walking around, we saw the tower and wanted to go up. It did not disappoint! We went at night, so no line! The guy in the elevator was absolutely awesome! Our Niagara Falls tour guide highly recommended coming to this revolving restaurant for the food and for the views. If you book a table then you don’t have to pay for the observation decks which sort of took the sting of the expensive meal… a little bit 😄It wasn’t cheap but the food is absolutely fantastic.. especially the 12 ounce Roast Prime Rib of Beef 😋… and the views all around just take your breath away. We were fortunate to see the sun setting over Toronto and the lights come on across the Falls 🌅🌈

Awesome place to view the falls and the city!! I would suggest go early if you can. We were there at 9:30am and there were barely a few people - it was great! No crowds of tourist and waiting in line for the elevators. Elevator 3 faces the falls on climb and descent.

GREAT place to get an amazing view of the Niagra Falls and surrounding areas! If you're visiting the Falls, it is a must visit attraction. It's not that expensive, and the views are incredible. The ride in the elevator takes about a minute. You're almost 800 ft up from the Falls. The tower, the elevators, and the railing/cage were all in great shape, very well maintained, so you have a great sense of security if you're afraid of heights. Expect crowds, it's a popular attraction, but it's so worth it.

Arrived around 9:30ish am. Bought our tickets. Cashier/ticket person informed us that there was a lot of mist/fog over the falls. This was very nice, but we decided to go on up. Staff were courtesy. The view was amazing even with the mist/fog. Looked out over the edge, and there were workers cleaning the windows. This just shows how important the view has to be in the dining area. We stopped at the gift shop on top of the Skylon and met the cashier named "Pat." It was so wonderful to talk with her. "Muck Baby" says, "Hi!" We recommend this attraction!

The view was so gorgeous, my goodness. However the bathrooms downstairs were in an inconvenient area and they were disgusting. The staff was friendly. The pictures definitely were corny and a money grab, but hey, it’s a memory. The staff doing the elevator ride was super charming and funny. Worth it!

The interior is battered and worn with most retail spaces shuttered. Unfortunately, there are a number of artifacts, including barrels used to ride over the falls, which are inaccessible - squirreled away in an unused retail space.The food in the rotating restaurant is good and prices are to be expected at a tourist destination. We came here to view the eclipse, and it turned out to be a great spot! Although we encountered clouds, the views from the top were some of the best that Niagara Falls has to offer. The staff were friendly, and it was quick getting to the top and back down. Worth checking out for an awesome views of the falls from above.

We visited from California and we're a but thrown back at how non friendly most people in Canada seemed to be. .. BUT this was one of the few places where that was not the case. SUPER friendly staff. AMAZING view, the steak wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was notable and fairly priced. Portions were perfect. The Strawberry Daqueri was 😚👌🤌The elevator ride is comparable to the Seattle space needle except slightly shorter. The night views are absolutely stunning. The platform rotates slowly so you can sit anywhere and still see the full view cycle. We went around about 1.5x in a 90 min time frame, so nothing crazy.

Amazing view of Niagra Falls, windy on top, restaurant have a good food and you need to spend at least $40 in the restaurant to get to observation deck for free, worth it. The floor is moving so you will have 360 view. Worth it

Visited for my boyfriend’s 36th Birthday and our first time exploring the falls. We are from CT so this was also our first time crossing the Canadian border with our passports. Everything went so smooth. Staff were very friendly, attentive and cared about your experience. Food was 4.5/5! View was amazing!!! Atmosphere is relaxing and cozy. Definitely worth the experience!!!

Simply breathtaking. This is one of the things every person should visit during their life. One of the best natural landmarks I have ever seen. Please visit if you can. You can even spot raccoons in the park.Visit the Canadian side for better view, but also check the US side.

It is just amazing what mother nature has created for all of us to view! The mist from the falls felt good on the day we went due to very above average temperatures. If you haven't seen the falls in person I would definitely recommend you make time to try!

The falls are very beautiful. They have daily night shows with fireworks, and there are lots of activities to do on Canada and the U.S.A. side. It is $1 to walk across the Rainbow Bridge per person. It was very interesting and it had a spectacular view. Would definitely 6

This is a very impressive waterfall. Nice parks on either side. The New York side has better paths for running. The Canada side has a much better view of the water fall. Only reason this is a 4 star instead of 5 is because they don’t allow drones. I also love the way they light up the falls at night.

What makes Niagara Falls so impressive is the amount of water flowing over. Most of the tallest falls in the world have very little water flowing over them. It's the combination of height and volume that makes Niagara Falls so breathtaking. the falls consists of three falls in total. Niagara Falls is as gorgeous as the say. The area is very commercialized, and I thought that might detract from our enjoyment, but that wasn't the case! We stayed in a room at Embassy Suites on the Canada side. It had an expansive view of all 3 Falls comprising Niagara! We did most of the falls tours on both the Canadian and American sides. Cave of the Winds was our favorite!

It’s amazing how nature can give us a beautiful view with magnificent sound of waterfalls. So peaceful and tranquility! Perfect for family of all ages! To note we went at night and day time. We came late October at the end of the season. We traveled from PA wanting to see the fall leaves. Overall the town is run down and not very appealing. We were located in a hotel and were able to walk to all the attractions that pretty much can be done in less than a day without using a guide (don’t waste your money). Here are some tipsGoat island: nice walk, can follow the river and stop by numerous lookouts to take pictures. Free to enter (walking) and where you’ll find the cave of the windsCave of the winds: $14 per person, you take an elevator which will drop 130’ and put you at the bottom of the bridal’s veil fall. You then walk in wooden platforms to near the base of the fall. At the time we did it they were already taking down platforms so weren’t able to get close. The whole thing takes less than 10 minutesMaid of the mist: $24.50 per person takes down both sides of the fall (US and Canada). Actually trip is about 10 minutes and the like to pack the boat. Most people go up… stay in the lower deck and in the front as most people will go to the upper deckThe lookout deck: included in the price of the maid of the mist. Super high views of the river and the fallsHowever, the river trail is a nice easy walk to all the attractions and has very pretty small spots that you can discover if you take your time

The falls themselves are impressive and definitely worth seeing at least once in your lifetime. However, the surrounding area is so overly touristy that it feels more like Disney World than the incredible natural wonder it is. We went in September and it was so crowded you were pretty much shoulder-to-shoulder with crowds the entire time. I would love to go back when it’s little less crowded.

Well everyone said go to the Canada side to see the falls, they were correct!! Amazing views!! The closer you get you can feel the mist from the falls and you can hear the falls!! Parking was tight and you can spend anywhere from 15 to 25 a day to park depending on location. Also I would plan at least 3 nights maybe 4. There is a lot to do for everyone!!

The falls are beautiful! Lots of viewing areas. There were a lot of people, but there were so many areas to view the falls that it was easy to get a spot at the railings for a great view. Wheelchair accessible. Bathrooms available, gift shop, and drinks available for purchase. Hiking, biking and viewing trails.

Wow, just wow! Absolutely stunning and free to boot. The Canadian side has a better view but the NY side is up close and personal. I’ve traveled the country and glad I got to see this. I especially like the Tesla monument as he doesn’t get enough recognition. Go to Canada if you can as well.

You've got to put this place on your "must-visit" list at least once in your lifetime. It's seriously stunning. And here's a heads-up: don't miss out on the ferry ride. It's a totally unique experience, and it gets you super close to the falls – be prepared to get soaked!

What a great experience! We visited both sides of the falls. Gray Line Tours is how we did it. They took care of everything. The falls are absolutely breathtaking. They were "low" when we were there because 80% was being diverted for power stations. Can only imagine what they are like when they are only taking the 20%. We were there the weekend after Thanksgiving. It was definitely cooler but a lot less people too. Would go again!!

Seeing this in person is just so amazing. The magnitude of water flowing over the edges is beyond comprehend able. A notice that stood at the bridal falls mentions something in the 2.5 million litres (86100 gal) per second… yes, per second!!! A must go see is the cave of the winds. Well worth the $14 per adult!!! The view is amazing.Amazing as the falls are so are the facilities. Clean and well kept. Toilets are especially VERY clean!!We went just before lunch on a weekday and there were only a few people around.Do yourself a favour and also take the time to drive to Erie along Buffalo and down south. The area around the falls has become quite commercial and there are many tourist traps to beware of, but it still is a fun spot to visit. I loved how on Canada side they have built miles of walk way to see every inch of the falls. And they have a shopping mall, tours, and restaurant right next to the water falls. It's is a wonderful place you can see Canada from New York and it is amazing make sure to bring a strong jacket and hat and gloves because it is cold in there and bring a camera with a lot of memory because there is a lot of things to take photos

UNREAL!!!!! How can nature creates something this incredible!! I went there on Saturday but it wasn’t too much of the crowd. We can have spaces to look around and snap some photos. You can also choose to go on the boat tour or just look at the waterfall from above. I got dropped off at Niagara Casino and then walk straight down to the waterfall or you could just take a cable car it only takes one minute to come down and costs around $3ish

Niagara Falls consists of the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. Both are amazing and awesome to see from afar and up close on the boat. You can see both Falls for free from great vantage points on the Canadian side or take the Cruise to get up and close to the Falls and experience the mist. They give you a poncho for a reason, because you do get wet.

This was a fantastic adventure, and probably our favorite experience at Niagara Falls (out of lots of awesome experiences). We spent two days at Niagara, and this stood out as the most fun we had there! You basically get to walk underneath Bridal Veil Falls, which is the smallest of the three waterfalls that make up Niagara Falls, but is still huge! They give you ponchos, but if you do it right, you'll still get SOAKED. Great fun!

BEST ATTRACTION ON THE AMERICAN FALLS! I come from Canada and we usually hear horrible stuff about the American side of the falls but this attraction changed my mind. You get crazy close and wet to the falls and you can spend as much time as you want there! Only 20 dollars as well! When I went, it was a pretty nice day but close to when they close. It meant that it wasn't that busy and we waited 0 minutes! This was a Sunday as well! They provide rain jackets for you and overall it's a must try experience!

It’s cool out there! I did not go nearer the falls because ill be soaked and did not bring extra pants, shoes or socks! Just enjoyed it from afar but still the thunderous splash of mighty waters falling down makes me wonder how nature selten defiled by humans but thanks to the park, got the chance to come close to it! This was maybe one of the best things we did while visiting the falls! One of the great things is you can decide on how wet you get by taking one of many walking paths to get a up-close view of the falls. Kids loved going right up to the falls and having the water splash all over them. We went early in the morning to beat the rush and trust me it gets busy after 10 am!

This is the best attraction in Niagara in my opinion. There was a long queue when we visited. But the wait was totally worth it. This is perhaps the closest you can get to the falls. We carried our backpacks here without knowing that we would get drenched by the sprays. Nevertheless, a very refreshing experience.

Our family decided to do Cave of the Winds on a recommendation from staff at the Marriott we were staying at nearby. We're also all afraid of heights, and abandoned plans to do the Maid of the Mist after seeing the glass elevator tower you ride up and the bridge you have to walk across.Once you officially enter, your group piles into a room for a very quick history recap of the Niagara falls. Thankfully, this video is only about 5 minutes long and is entertaining so it will not bore the kids (or adults) with a history lesson.After exiting you walk through a tunnel and to an elevator, which takes you down to the base.This is all truly self-guided, you get whatever you want out of it. It can be as quick as you want it to be. We were in and out in about 20 minutes, took some great photos and videos at Hurricane Deck and got out. So glad we did this instead of the boat ride, I feel like you really got to feel the power and take in the beauty much more this way than viewing from a boat.

Amazing experience and not nearly as busy as I thought it would be. I loved the video they show before hand and the history of the falls. Be prepared to get wet. We came here first because I was worried about the lines, but many smart people went to Maid of the Mist first and brought that poncho since it is a little bit nicer. Must do experience if you are in the area.

Expect to get wet, unless you don't walk far outside the cave... The history lessons (video/signage) inside are really interesting. But the view and Feel of the Falls are worth repeating. If you prepare to get wet, the crashing water and gorgeous views are some of the cleanest and best you can have in nature.

While I still wholeheartedly believe the Canadian side of the Falls offers better views, this is hand-down one of the best experiences at Niagara. It’s amazing value for what you pay. Our experience started in a museum-like room with information on the history of the falls. I loved the interactive parts of it and we were soon let into a theatre where we watched a film summarizing the past, present and future of the falls. The theatre was quite amazing at displaying something I’d find boring in a book interesting through a multi-media display. There were physical frames and effects for things like lightning. Theexperience at the bottom is definitely what you want, though. It’s unlike anything else I’ve ever experienced and the walkway is well built to ensure you have a thorough tour and sufficient photo-ops. Absolutely must-do!

Visited the Cave of the Winds over a weekend. The attraction is just so beautiful, we truly enjoyed it. There is an entry fee for all over 6 years which is not expensive for the experience. They have a small video presentation tell a story about the Hydro electric power plant and Niagara Falls role. Post that there is an elevator which takes you down to view the American Fall.The view is gorgeous.

This is a must do, lovely experience and kids love the experience of being under the falls. The place is lightly crowded in mornings and gets very full as it gets warmer. Parking is tough in goat island and I’d recommend taking the trolley from Niagara than trying to park here. Even if you want to walk, it’s about 20mins from Niagara (0.7miles).

We absolutely loved it. Summer and spring is probably the most busiest time of year. End of November is chilly and not many people. It was super quick to get in. Go into to y museum type area, then watch a 8 minute movie then take a 175 feet journey to the bottom of gorge and stand by falls. Great pics. Very interesting and breathtaking.

Amazing experience. I loved it so much.The cost is about $19 for adults and about $14 for kids. There was a line but it went quick. You are able to pick a time slot.Once you enter into the building there is a museum on the history of the falls and then you watch a small video about the waterfalls.You then will exit and get a poncho; that is when the real fun begins.There are stairs to go up and down. The further up the waterfall you climb; the more you will get wet. There is a section called hurricane and it is the most wind and water of the whole experience.Some tips are to wear the poncho from the maid of the mist (if you go to that experience first), wear shoes that are able to get wet (no socks), dress lightly, waterproof your cameras and/ or phones and most importantly have fun.*PS you will get soaked*

Extremely fun activity to do with older kids. You will get drenched on this walk, there is no way to avoid it. They have rubber guards down on the floor/steps but can still be slippery so watch your step. A great experience and a must while in Niagara Falls. They are currently open later than the time listed so always check on the official website.

Niagara Falls is truly breathtaking, but the experience of being in the Cave of the Winds takes it to a whole new level! It's an absolute must-do activity, and you shouldn't leave without experiencing it.You will get wet, even though they give you a yellow poncho, it will not keep you fully dry, especially your shoes, so wear clothes and shoes that can get wet (The stairs are steep and slippery make sure to bring a good pair of shoes), and overall, have fun! This place is a gem and you can see The Creator form a different perspective!!Quick note: Don’t waste your time trying to buy tickets online, Cave of the Winds tickets must be purchased at the Plaza on Goat Island.

Tickets are $14 for adults and have a 10 minute wait for each group. The film was very informative and explained the history of the falls, the view was great as it allowed us to see the bottom of the falls without going to Canada.

Felt scammed to be honest. We went in April and paid over $70 for our family to experience this. Only to get down there and realize that the observations decks hadn’t even been built yet. Apparently they tear it down every winter and rebuild in the spring, which makes total sense, but there was zero mention of that anywhere. Not on the website, not at the park, not from the ticket sales. Nowhere! It was a huge letdown. We chose cave of winds over maid of the mist based on awesome reviews and pretty much all we saw were thousands of seagulls. The one part of the deck that was open had no better of a view than any of the free observation decks in the park. In my picture, the red deck shown wasn’t even open to us. The place I’m standing to take the photo was the only place open. We ended up spending more money to do maid of the mist, which was amazing! I’m sure cave of the winds in equally amazing, but just not in April! Make sure you ask if the decks are fully open before you go!!

Loved it. Tickets are available to purchase in person only. At first, I thought it might not be as fun compared to the Maid of the mist boat ride, but everyone loved this even more than the boat ride. Just remember to wear sandals or waterproof shoes; you are going to get wet even though they provide ponchos. I recommend watching the short movie they play inside about Niagara and electricity. If you are planning to visit, this is a must-see place.

It was a cloudy, foggy day for a visit here. I’ve been to the States 1000+ times and never been the the American side of the Falls. But I finally made it there.It was pretty (but I like the view from Canada better). I will visit again on a nice day to do the walking trail & find out what the Cave of the Winds is all about.

Most memorable moments.You know the history of Nigeria falls through some documentaries as well as pictures. The most beautiful thing is you can touch and feel Niagara Falls. They provide you poncho so you enjoy it without being all wet but the wind is too so you will wet but a little. you enjoy the Beauty of falls 🤩 those moments are so special to you so must try them at least one time it's a lifetime experience. Huge Rush on the weekends so if you want to go try to go on a weekday. Don't think of many pictures enjoy the view first. Try to take pictures before you get wet.

No wait—visited end of March and it was practically deserted! Informational video before riding the elevator 175 feet down to view the falls from below. Keep ticket after the movie because you do have to walk around outside to the elevator.

The view here is absolutely stunning, especially with a rainbow!The ticket is $14 per adult, which allows you to watch a short film about the history of Niagara Falls, visit a small museum for interaction, and provides elevator access to view the stunning waterfall.

This is a awesome way to see the falls up close. You will get wet. The mist is everywhere. One deck is closer and is like a splash zone. It was a lot of fun.

A must visit on the US side of the Niagara Falls. You get to stand beneath one of the falls and experience upfront the majestic beauty of the waterfall. You get to see the charming skyline of the Canada’s side of the falls. Unfortunately, part of the bridge was closed when I went this time, so I wasn’t able to experience the full attraction as I remembered a few years back. Still, this attraction is a must when visiting the falls

While the popular maid of the mist boat tour offers an amazing experience from the water, cave of the winds allows you to get up close to the Bridal Veil Falls by foot.They are no longer giving out sandals. Wearing proper footwear is a must as your foot will get wet no matter how careful you are. A poncho is however provided. Staying dry knee length upwards is possible if you are less adventurous and decide not to get too close to the falls. But for the best pictures with the Bridal Veil Falls, you will get slightly wet.The journey starts with a brief tour around a mini museum and a short show. While this is not the main attraction, I recommend spending at least half an hour to learn about the history of the falls if you’re not already accustomed to it.After the show, there will be an elevator ride taking you down into the Niagara Gorge. And as you venture out along the walkways, you’ll be able to see Canada and the maid of the mist boat tour.An experience that cannot be missed when visiting Niagara Falls. It engages all your senses and enables you to appreciate the wonders of perhaps the most impressive falls in the world, if not the most.

One of the best experiences of Niagara Falls! You can’t get any closer to the falls than this! You not only get the strong and cool mist from the falls but at a few points in the whole path you can actually touch the water from the falls as it makes its way to the bottom!You also get very close to the Bridal Veil falls and get to experience the water almost directly! If you like being around water you will really love this!Take AS MUCH time as you want for this one and go slowly and enjoy every bit of the experience! Also after you’re done the cafe upstairs also has some nice quick bites you can grab and the food is tasty there too!

Great views for the price. You get your tickets at the little building, step into the interactive room to watch a six minute film, then head out to the elevator and down to the falls. You get handed a Pancho, you will get wet, even if you’re not trying to, you arms, pant legs and shoes will get wet. The more wet you get depends on you and how long you stand under the falls area. Great views down there!

Visited Cave of the Winds on the 24th of March.It was pretty cold, but worth every penny to stand under that power of water and be able to see it almost without people around.Recommend at any time of the year!

This was great! You touch the falls in several areas. Steps are a bit slippery. You also see a whole population of birds. The baby seagulls are the cutest thing ever. It's also great to see the movie to go in and learn more history of electricity and the falls.

I visited the Cave of winds in 2016 and loved the experience and recently visited again with my husband!Imagine going right under the Bridal veil falls of Niagara and getting drenched with the high speed waterfall.. it took my breath away both times and is so thrilling!!They give you a yellow raincoat but it is difficult to remain completely dry in this experience. Initially they gave non slippery sandals as well but looks like that is discontinued now, so be sure to wear good footwear as the stairs are slippery. You begin the tour with a great video about Niagara's history and then take a lift ride down to see the wonder. The price of $21 is so worth it for this experience!We went on the labor day weekend and since we reached around 10am we easily got parking ($15) right outside the cave of winds. We noticed that parking was full and closed to people as we were leaving, so it is better to arrive earlier on weekends.

Tip of the cap to the staff for being able to handle the massive surge in visitors for the eclipse weekend. Really great experience to get so close to the American falls. The kids also lived seeing the throngs of snakes on the rocky walls up the canyon. Since my last visit years ago, they added a movie experience as you queue for the elevators down the canyon, which was a nice plus. Not being able to buy tickets in advance was a minus. The tickets are timed (which is great), but must be purchased at the ticket booth, which requires wasting time in a line.

Hands down the best of the niagara parks attractions! You get very close to American falls and get absolutely soaked. Bring clothes/ shoes you don't mind getting wet. Incredible experience. Get there early to avoid queues.

This is a nice little zoo! Many animals to be seen with the most unique being the two polar bears! Easy to get around and see everything in about 2-3 hours. Most animals were outside. Some animals were exhibited inside. The rainforest exhibit was perhaps the best of the indoor exhibits.With all the good things the zoo has going for it, it does need some updating. The zoo's elephant house, houses a rhino? Some of the spaces provided for the animals should also be much larger. The zoo is right near Delaware park, I think it should be expanded a little so the animals could have more room. Some of the zoo's buildings were built in the 30's and could be renovated to boost their appearance.Parking was easy and fairly reasonable. Gift shop was well stocked. Staff was helpful and friendly.

First time at this zoo and I will most definitely be returning again. It had a nice variety of animals, including tigers, lions, giraffes, a polar bear, meerkats, and rhinos. Zoos I have visited before usually don’t have an employee there educating you on some facts about their animals. So it was a nice surprise when there would be a zookeeper there talking about the animals and some even had carts with casts of the animals’ skulls and fur so you could touch and feel them.We went on a Saturday and while it took a bit to buy the tickets (so would recommend to buy them ahead of time) the rest of our visit wasn’t too crowded. We were able to get a good view on all the animals.Would also like to add that the bathrooms were clean. There seemed to be one in every corner so that was awesome with my 4 yo. Love how there were family restrooms as well.Got a black bean, mushroom and Swiss veggie burger from the food court. 10/10.Overall great experience.

So much fun at the Zoo Imagination experience. On Saturdays the cost is $19.95 for adults. Lots of interactive art displays, incredible colors, as well as education to go with the art. There is a beer tent, snacks and gifts. Most animals are not out but we did see a sleeping polar bear, eagles and a mountain goat.....

The Buffalo Zoo is small compared to others, but we love it! It's the perfect size for a day out, you can walk around the entire zoo in a matter of a few hours (depending on how long you want to spend at each exhibit). If you are local, I highly recommend getting a season pass! We have one and love going on weekends, it's never too crowded and we love seeing all the animals. The Zoo does a great job at taking care of the animals, and has made several updates to their exhibits over the years.

This zoo is alright. We came on Christmas Eve, and it was basically a ghost zoo. Some animals like the rhino and elephants were not out because it was too cold. The polar bear was definitely not doing so well.... Waking around in circles and swinging its head... Signs of mental issues and boredom. Same goes with the tigers. The reptiles and amphibians were the coolest part.

Very nice zoo! We traveled here from Texas and really enjoyed the different animals than what we have in our zoo! Seeing a Polar bear was super cool! Several animals we have seen before, but the exhibits are easy to get through and we're very clean.

This 3rd oldest zoo is small, but full of animals too are and learn about. Don't forget to enjoy keeper talks and the Avian Odyssey!I'd love to see the zoo get more space but I don't think that will happen.You can bring your own snacks too!

I'm editing my review from 4 stars to 5. What's the difference? Well I'm now a mom to a 5 year old and really appreciate the size of this zoo and the exhibits they bring in annually. Great size for small kids (takes 3 hours max), love the animals (polar bear, giraffe, big cats!), and just an easy day. Easy to find, easy to park, just effortless compared to larger places like the Toronto Zoo. The kids who work throughout were knowledgeable and great too. What a fun day.

This is a small zoo and I took my sweet time going through it. In all it took me a leisurely 2.5 hrs. I didn't eat or have children with me. The komodo dragon exhibit was down for maintenance and in all the animals looked sad and unengaged in their habitats which message me a little sad. 21-25$ to enter. Parking costs up to 12dollars for more than 2 hrs-debit/credit only for parking! There is also a souvenir/gift shop.

My group of 6 kids and 7 adults decided to go to the buffalo zoo today. It was over an hour drive from where we live BUT well worth the drive. I can say it was my very first time and I was impressed and will definitely be returning. My kids had so much fun and were so interested in all the different animals. Can't wait for all the construction to be done so we can return and see even more! I will say that parking was a nightmare so plan on walking!

Very small zoo that makes fairly good use of its space, although there are some central open portions that could have been used to increase some exhibit sizes. Scenery was lacking in comparison to other larger zoos, but for the size and younger target audience, the zoo is acceptable.

Small older zoo but still unique and interesting. Went on a Sun in Jan and still was able to see most of not all the animals. The big cat area was cool to be able to see them up close from inside, but the rainforest area was the best. Very warm despite the outside temp. Good place too walk around for a couple of hours.

I went on a weekday and it wasn't crowded at all. In fact, there wasn't even a line going in. The animals all had unique personalities and were so fun to look/interact with. I wish the otters had been out. I went back a few times but they must have been inside or hiding. To be fair, it was blistering outside. I was amused that the polar bears were the most active outside in the scorching sunlight.The zookeepers were all very helpful. We especially enjoyed the gem/fossil station. It was definitely a family favorite.

Beautiful zoo!It had several backdrops throughout the zoo for beautiful pictures. While it isn't the biggest, it was just right to explore in a couple of hours. It made for a great road trip from Niagra Falls.

This zoo was a lot bigger than I expected. For like $18 you get a good size zoo that you can walk around for a few hours or more. Plenty of animals were out. I took off a star because that parking is horrendous. It took us awhile to find a parking spot and it wasn’t even close to the entrance. I still recommend coming here though.

Animals in concrete pens, in their feces and urine. Is this respectful? Is this conservation? Is this humane?It looks like a correctional facility for individuals whose only crime was to be born a wild animal. It’s time for zoos to become rehabilitation centers to teach new generations kindness and respect. Enough of “bread and circuses”. Animals deserve better. And our children do as well. Enough of this superficial appeasem*nt under the guise of education unless the lesson is “might is right”.

This was the first time we have come here and it was perfect. We had 3 under 8 kids with us and it was exactly big enough to see everything and not miss out. Lots of different animals and the way information was presented was easy to understand and engaging.

Great visit. Animals were active and up-close. Saw many unique animals such as Sand Cat, Canadian Lynx, and many others. See pictures. My aunt who lives in the area, first visit in over 10 years was impressed how much the zoo has grown.

Had a wonderful time at the zoo. The lions, snow leopard, long cobra are my favorites. Just wish more parking was available. I enjoy the rain forest as one of my favorite attractions that they have. This zoo is worth visiting to spend a day on the weekend.

Visited on a Saturday morning. Parking was simple. The zoo is well laid out. We especially enjoyed the polar bear and the lions. 2 lionesses and 4 cubs were out for a while. Then 2 males came out and They were roaring back-and-forth with the females and cubs. Of course they also have some bisons.

Though I thought it was quite pricey to get in and it rained the day we went and there was a lot of construction going on (we missed certain exhibits because of this), we still had a great time! There weren't a ton of people because of the rain so at times it felt like we had the park all to ourselves! I always enjoy seeing animals so maybe I'm biased but overall we had a great time! My 10 month old son was in awe of all the animals which made it even more enjoyable!

It was a very enjoyable afternoon. I've been to many other zoos before, but this was my first visit to the Buffalo zoo. This one is a diamond in the rough. There's a lot to see and experience, but they definitely need to upgrade the facility and freshen the presentations.

pictures speak for themselves. animals look absolutely miserable, on their death bed quite literally. 💔 on dried out concrete, no water, etc. this is inhuman and disgusting, do better!! Oh & ENTIRE place smells like straight pee.

I was very disappointed in this place. We went because it was a vacation week and the zoo was always good. We called ahead and asked about their goat island. The kids with us wanted to pet goats. Lady on phone said it's open and check their Facebook. Facebook says nothing. Get there and it's closed. Staff said it's only open maybe, on weekends.Half the animals weren't out. Elephant house yellow taped off. Half of the water stations... more like 3/4 of them didn't work. I found 2 working fountains. Food is expensive. Like $20 for 2 drinks. They were gearing up for summers event. The chain link stuff is what you go through to get to the sea lions.

The zoo has really improved since the last time I visited a few years ago. The display art of flowers, insects, etc is really beautiful, I would love to see it at night. The indoor exhibits were great, the bird show was nice and there are lots of activities for children. And they do give a military discount.

A good local zoo, but you shouldn't travel from a distant city! many aviaries were under reconstruction and many locations are still preparing for the season

Family of four 2 adults and 2 children. Parking was free ...today ...Purchased a family yr membership for 110.00$ ( gives discounts at other zoos!!!!) Two visits is more than that and you'll want to come back! Animals seemed well cared for. Some construction at the entrance made it a little cumbersome to navigate around. Early spring weather was overcast 60 degrees. A few exhibits were under construction. Did not interact with many employees. Spent 3 hours here and still could have spent more. There was a few of the typical food choices pizza burgers fries ck fingers etc. popcorn cotton candy dipping dots for snacks around the park. Animals were aging a little. I didn't even get to the the giraffes because you know ...toddlers. Front the arctic circle , to the African savannah , the mountains of Asia and the rainforest of south America almost all 7 continents..the only thing missing are elephants and penguins....Lions tigers polar bears gorillas buffalo bison ( 716 Lets Go ) reptiles and much more! Not sure who had more fun dad or the kids. Will be back for sure

My family and I went to the Buffalo Zoo on a Monday and it was fairly quiet (It was a nice sunny/cool day) but I don't think it was fully open for the season yet. No lineup to get in since it was a Monday.Some exhibits and food/snacks stations weren't open. We weren't able to feed the goats sadly.My 11 y.o. daughter enjoyed seeing all the mammals, birds, reptiles and insects.

The Buffalo Zoo is a fun and educational place to see a variety of animals and plants. I loved seeing the majestic lions, tigers, and snow leopards; the intelligent chimpanzees and red pandas; the exotic komodo dragon, sea turtles, and zebras; and the adorable goats and cows. The zoo also has a reptile house with snakes and frogs, a bird house with eagles and other birds, and an Arctic Edge exhibit with polar bears and mountain deer. The zoo also offers a carousel ride and a kids tattoo art station for extra entertainment. The Buffalo Zoo is a must-see attraction in Buffalo, NY.

We arrived in chilly autumn afternoon. We did not have to wait as it was the off season and the park was not fully of many people. Even so we got to see plenty of animals that were spectacular to see. The enclosures seemed clean and the animals appeared happy. The lions even put on a show for us roaring and playing with each other. I highly recommend going when you get the chance

Such a great experience! All the cages and facilities were very clean! The Staff was very polite! The lady in the Rainforest was knowledgeable and the cashier from Buffalo Burger was awesome. Food prices were steep but all in all it was a great time. We will be back!

We really enjoyed viewing the total solar eclipse at the Buffalo Zoo! They were well prepared for the event with the availability of viewing glasses, recommending a good place to set up, merchandise, etc. Although we didn't get to see everything because of the event, we saw most, and it is a good zoo! As the eclipse was occurring, the lions behind us were going nuts, and during totality, they were moaning and whimpering (scared). It was an awesome day!

We enjoyed the basic tour (2 options avl: basic is 75 minutes and premium is 120 minutes). We didn't ask what the difference between the 2 tours was, but since 75 minutes fit into our schedule, we chose it. It was an interesting tour and the tour guides were quite knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. I would like to view the gardens in late spring or summer as the grounds appear to be meticulously maintained. We visited on April 1(too early for blossoms) and it was snowing and quite windy. Photos are only permitted while OUTSIDE or inside the conservatory. No photos allowed inside the house whatsoever. A short (8 minute) and informative movie started off the tour that provided a background on the relationship between Wright and Martin. The attention to detail and design of the home was exclusively Frank Lloyd Wright, including the furniture throughout the home. There were many references to the rather large basem*nt which was supposedly used for some entertaining, however, that is only viewable with the premium tour. In our opinion, the basem*nt should be included in the basic tour since it is referenced throughout the basic tour. At the very least, it should be identified in advance of purchasing your ticket so as a consumer you are aware of that option and make an informed decision. Very clean reception area, well maintained restrooms and friendly staff.

Touring the Martin House was a fantastic experience. I did the 2 hour tour on a beautiful spring day. It was very informative and nice to visit the upstairs. It was hard to believe it was designed and built in the Victorian era. A VERY highly recommended tour.

We did not take the full tour but had a look from outside. We went for a short visit and did not have time to wait until tour started. I wish if we can buy tickets and have a look inside on our own pace rather than spending a lot of time following a tour guide.

Great house tour especially if you visit on as beautiful a day as I did! Such interesting history and very impressive they were able to restore this whole place back to the 1907 original! The tour starts with a short movie in the large modern glass building and then you go through most of the house (downstairs and upstairs) ending through pergola and the greenhouse. Best to buy tickets online in advance esp if a busy time. Enjoy!

It’s was a nice little tour, it lasted about a hour and a half, we toured the front of the house and then the first floor and a few rooms upstairs and then the conservatory. I really wanted to tour the whole house for the price I paid. But nonetheless this is Frank Lloyd Wrights design so I’m not surprised. The grounds were well kept and our guide knew her stuff. I enjoy touring estate homes and this one did not disappoint.

They offer two tours. The 70 minute tour is only the main house. The 2 hour tour is of all of the buildings. If I had realized that we would have taken the 2 hour tour. The house is in a residential area, so be sure to arrive in plenty of time to find parking and walk to the house. It is interesting and the building has many original pieces of furniture designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The history of the Martin family explains why the house was designed the way it was. Unfortunately, when you go upstairs you only get to see part of the house. It would have been nice to see more. You can only take pictures in specific areas, mostly outside. Nice gift shop with beautiful items.

Took the 75 minute docent led tour of the home. He was so well informed on the main things you'd expect to learn, yet the small details he wrapped in made it a really neat experience. Going online to get tickets is needed, I'd do so as far ahead as possible. My friends and I found ourselves wishing we'd been able to take the 2hr tour; unfortunately it was sold out.

The Martin House was BEAUTIFUL!!! If you love different in architecture you will love this home!! Take a tour with a docent... we took the 1.25 hour tour and saw the house, conservatory and the carriage house and I was really impressed with it all. I would love to live in this house but I would never leave it!!! From the stained glass windows to the 8 miles of woodwork, this house is just amazing!! Don't miss it when in Buffalo!!!

Amazing house and it’s very well preserved. I took the basic tour at it lasted around 1.5hrs. You can ask as many questions as you want and the tour guides are very good experts in Wright’s architecture. Take the tour, is the only way to go inside the house. Indoor photos are not allowed. There is a 10 min video presentation at the begging that really helps understanding the historial context of the house. Take time after the tour to look around the house and see some cool old houses in this historical neighborhood.

Great experience at Frank Lloyd Wright's Martin House! . Wright's architectural genius is well explained both on the tour and by the movie at the beginning of the tour. The tour also gives the history of the home and the home's owner Darwin D. Martin.Did the 75 minute tour which takes you both inside and outside the house. Once inside the house each room is explained in great detail. The most interesting parts of the house are probably the conservatory and the sunrise fireplace. As with most Frank Lloyd Wright houses the furniture design is second to none. The barrel chair and bookshelf are the most memorable furniture designs in the house.Gift shop was good, some items were over priced, but they had a lot to choose from. Be sure to purchase a ticket online in advance. They do offer a few different tours. Photography is not allowed in most parts of the house.If you have been to other Frank Lloyd Wright houses and not yet seen this one, it should be added to your list!

This 100+ year old home is a must see if you visit buffalo. Our two hour was incredibly detailed and very informative. A truly beautiful piece of American history perfectly preserved.Thank you for a fantastic afternoon

Oh my God, where do I start? Our tour guide is very informative. We did the least expensive tour, wish we did the 2-hour tour. The pain staking restoration of this piece of art Architecture is magnificent! Thank you to the craftsman, the artisans, and the backers for saving this for future generations. The design, the eyelines, the thought and design going into even a narrow nearly hidden window encompasses the brilliance in Frank Loyd Wright's design in Martin House. If you are on the fence to see this home, jump over Nd come in. You will not regret it.

I have followed the restoration of the Darwin Martin House and gardens for several years. The attention to detail and research done to complete this project is perfection. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. Loved it.

Beautiful construction, magnificently designed. The staff were so nice and very informative, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work their. They were incredibly nice to us as let us take care of our young son who was with us and walk around the garden to calm him down. They truly cared about making our experience a nice one.

Frank Lloyd Wright has always been a bit of a super star to me and this home definitely helps solidify that. This is one of my favorite pieces of his work.

We went on the shorter 75 minute tour and it was fantastic! Both Eileen and Paula did an excellent job telling the stories of this beautiful home. The tour starts with a 9 minute video about the history of the Martins, Wright, and the building of this house. There is a cafe and a gift shop on site that sold lots of Frank Lloyd Wright merchandise that can be found at all of his other homes. We have a NARM membership so the two of us were able to get in for free! Well worth a visit if you’re in Buffalo.

A wonderful walk through the past visions of amazing architecture from a man who was a great artist and designer.the attention to detail of everything you could possibly think of.the use of wood and brick blends together perfectly.a must see if you are in the area.

What a treasure! This was my first FLW project to visit and I’m pretty sure the bar has been set. The information center is incredibly well designed with plenty of information.The tour is fantastic and well worth the price of entry. The Docent was kind and knowledgeable.Then the house itself is nothing short of a masterpiece. The crown moulding woodwork is incredible, the art windows are perfect, the tiling is brilliant. The “flow” of the home is unique and offers moments of intimacy and awe. Well ahead of its time.I wish I could have taken photos inside, and I would have loved to explore the basem*nt, as I’d wager there might be some hidden creativity there as well.100% a must see for any art and design lover.

You get to walk around inside an artistic masterpiece. If you are bored or don’t see the incredible beauty in the design, craftsmanship and restoration then you might like a trip to Walmart or McDonald’s better.

Excellent tour and facilities. How little Frank Llloyd-Wright cared about the people who lived in, used, the houses he designed never ceases to amaze me. Martin's wife was legally blind and there is not one thing about this house design that is sentient if her experience. It's classic Frank, clever, pedantic, beautiful, and all about Frank's aesthetician over comfort or use. On a bright day they had all the lights on - because his aesthetician is a terrible use of natural light. Fascinating!

Amazing rehabilitation to the tune if $50M+! We took the shortest tour- 1hr 15 min. The tour starts in the new building (award winning architecture itself) with a quick film and then a walk though the first and second floors of this historic creation of Frank Lloyd Wright, one of his earliest projects that helped catapult him to the fame he attained as a premier American architect. Absolutely beautiful rehabilitation and detail.

This was my first time visiting. I was very impressed with the complex. The 75 minute tour was well worth it. It was worth traveling for. The detail that went into the design of the house is breathtaking. It was encouraging to see the efforts of this group to restore this house to what it was like over 100 years ago. Loved the tree of life stained glass. The detail that went into this place was better than some of the other FLW houses I have been to. If coming to Buffalo this has to be on the list to visit.

A perfect place for day outing. You can take the ferry from downtown and reach the island in 10 minutes. The island has few café, barbeque areas, playground for kids, fast food restaurants and gorgeous beach. There is a gigantic lighthouse on the island. The best way to explore the island is by foot but one can also get the bike rentals. I usually ride my bicycle around the island and it feels very good. The spectacular view at the night of the city skyline is breathtaking. Weekends are busy try to visit on weekdays. The panoramic view of the city is worth the watch.

A beautiful place to explore during the summer! Full of parks, beaches, and activities to do. Really enjoyed the 4-person biking around the entire island! Also great to just chill and relax by the water. Highly recommend!

So enjoyed this tourist attraction, so much walking but you can bring your bike or rent one. Don't expect the best beach but more of a huge park that has a kids amusem*nt park, a couple of food and beverage, the lake, and great scenery. You're able to bring your own food and you must take Jack Layton Ferry or a water taxi.

It's a great place to visit during a sunny weather. It has plenty of areas for picnics, multiple beaches for swimming, and a few landmarks, such as Gibraltar's lighthouse. There's also an amusem*nt park for kids, a small animal farm, and a couple of restaurants. Beware of the pricey food however; it's better to bring your own. All three islands (Centre, Hanlen's, and Ward) are connected to each other. It's best to traverse it using a bicycle (you can rent or bring your own), as it gets tiring after long walks. It's better to arrive and depart from either Ward or Hanlen's, as Centre Island is the most crowded out of the three, unless there's something specific in Centre Island that you'd like to visit first. Using a water taxi is worth the few extra bucks. You can return to the mainland using the ferry for free.

Love this place, the ambience is always pleasant and the views are beautiful. We went on the long weekend of Queen Victoria and I do not recommend it, definitely better to avoid long weekends, during this weekend the waiting times even for the water taxi was way too much, the ferry was taking way too long and the lines were insane. The washrooms lines were also very long. Not worth going on a long weekend but other than that this place is beautiful!

The park is very simple but it’s more than enough for one that is in Toronto. There’s a lot of spaces to do picnic, but you must bring your own food because there are limited options here. Bring your own water as well. There were a lot of people. The ferry heading there and back was full. It was an OK day trip.

Keep a day for discovering the Toronto Islands. They are interconnected and you can probably visit all even if you bought the ferry ticket to a specific one or use the water taxi to get to a specific one. Center Island ferry gets more crowded specially on a weekend. If you want the best skyline view, go to Wards Island. The walk from Wards to Center Island would take about 20 something minute. Bikes are only available to rent in Center Island and need to be returned to the same. In that way, probably going to the center island and then renting the bike to go Wards Island and the Hanlan’s Point beach makes more sense. Center Island also has beach, a nice garden, and a few small eateries. I think you can take any ferry back to mainland but as we bought Wards Island Ferry ticket and we got back to Wards Island to ride back which was not great. But check if you can take ferry back from any of the 3 points of the Islands. Overall it’s a must visit place if you are travelling to Toronto.

Toronto Island is one of my favorite places in this city that has so many attractions. Getting to the island is easy, you can use the ferry that leaves every 30 minutes and holds a large number of people, or make use of the taxi boats, which leave according to their capacity. Beautiful parc, where you can spend literally whole day and you won’t be bored. There’s an amusem*nt park on the island - we weren’t there, but I think that’s a nice place for children. You can take a nice walk, rest on the grass - nice spot to plan a picnic there. There’s a beach and the pier. You can rent a bike. There’s also a beautiful view over Toronto. One of the must see places in Toronto. You can take a boat or ferry to the island. We took the boat for cad 12.50 when we went and we used the free return ferry on our way back. It's very beautiful and peaceful here. The travel by ferry with beautiful buildings around is very peaceful. We had paid for Ferry because the free ferry had already left with people before we arrived there but while returning back from Toronto Island we got the opportunity to get into the free ferry. We can get all the information on the location itself about the ferry timings. Subway and Pizza pizza are available on the Island in case we are hungry. One of my favourite places in Toronto to visit! The island is packed with stunning sights of flowers, trees and various little animals that hang around in every corner. The park is well built to accommodate visitors of all types and their needs.There’s lots to do there, from swimming at the beach to having a picnic. The island is also bicycle friendly so look out for the rental at the end of the walk!The best way to come is by boat, there’s one that goes every 30-60 mins or so. A benefit t taking the boat at the scenic views of the cities skyline. Make sure to stay until sunset to get the best pictures possible from the park. By the time you wait for the boat it’ll be nightfall which is also the best time to take a look at the skyline with the building lights glowing.

I really liked the island!But it was absolutely not cool to have to wait about 40 minutes for the ferry (in the cold). There were many people waiting. They were limiting the ferry to 50 people because they were short-staffed.

Most of the rides where closed I mean there was literally 3 roller coasters open so short staffed it's not even worth going. Also many of the workers that were working were miserable and very rude. Huge lines. Only plus to this trip was that frighfest people looked cool. Won't go back until they get more staff

I bought the season passes and the season refill drink cup. The best bargain I have ever bought. My family's summer is set. So much fun both on water rides and funfair rides, even grandma can enjoy a sunbathing and gentle swim by the wave pool and lazy river, then nostalgic funfair rides making her feel like a kid again.

Thank goodness for their first aid center because I had a minor heart problem while in the water park and they came to my aid very promptly and the female lifeguard was truly helpful. I forgot her name but I greatly appreciate all the staff who assisted me and helped me with my child.

Fright fest has begun. I heard many positive comments from folks leaving after experiencing the special Halloween theme. NOt recommended for youth 12 and under, after 6:00 pm.

It was ok! It has been many years since I have visited and it seems like it has gone downhill but we had a good time. The cost for everything is very high!One thing that was concerning, a child was not tall enough for the rollercoaster and was still let on. The worker was trying to do the right thing but other patrons were yelling to let her on and unfortunately the pressure must have got the best of her because the child was let on the ride. That was absolutely not ok. I have lost a child and it's not something you ever want to experience. I wouldn't trust the attendants to make sure your child is safe to go on the ride.

It's no disrespect, I outgrow this theme park and I appreciate that they helped me have a great childhood but, I only go for the Kingdom Bound but not the rides anymore. If they had better rides or upgraded the predator then yea.

Great ticket promotion right now. I paid 120 for 6 tickets which is not bad at all. The lines weren't long, however the prices of the food has gone up and the portions are smaller. There is no reason fried dough should cost $12

I love the rides, but they are short rides and only offer one train for the rollercoasters. It would be fantastic if they enforced the no illegal drugs in the park.

The entrance line was the longest line that we had to wait in. Once inside the park, lines were not too bad. The security staff were nice enough to keep 1 lane open for those who did not have any bags to be searched. This lane is usually all the way to the left and you don't really have to wait in the long line. We had 1 person in our group keep all the bags and wait in line while the rest were able to go right in. The security process was not too time consuming and went by rather quickly for a weekday.

Great visit. Didn't like the vape constantly going on. Half the time it's Marijuana and that's not great to have my family around.

Fun tour with informative tour guide. It's definitely worth checking out if interested in the history of the man made cave. Wish there was better light in some locations of cave as I tripped over a metal chain. Other than that my little family had a fun experience!

We were the last tour prior to the boat accident. No problems. Kyle was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and paying attention to every detail.

We are visiting from MD and saw this Halloween Lantern evening tour, it was alot of fun in spite of the cold, rainy weather. The guide was funny and knowledgeable, and recognized the need to get us out of the rain and cold as soon as she could into the cave, yet still give all of the information she was supposed to. My only wish is that there was just a little more light to actually see the inside of the cave, and cut back on the fog machines because we could barely see enough to walk safely. It was still lots of fun and I appreciated them giving us the option to take the tour scheduled before the one we had tickets for.This is a family friendly tour, but I would like to put out there that there are quite a few steps to climb and alot of walking and needing to keep pace with your group. If you have any health issues, take that into consideration for your own comfort.Also, be sure to tip these guys and gals. Our poor guide was soaked and freezing and still kept going with a sense of humor.

This was an amazing experience. From learning about Lockport's early history to traversing the underground water tunnels. Our guide for the trip was Tony. He made the tour very interactive and injected humor into his repertoire of facts and historical deeds. I highly recommend this tour if you love history or the old lore surrounding the Erie canal. Very well done.

Lots of history to learn and very cool sights to see. Start off walking along the canal to the cave entrance. Into the cave walking and then to the boat ride at the end. With all a lot of stops as the guide tells the history. Kyle was great! Definitely a must go and also can see all the canal locks and history after the tour.

Must-visit places. The underground boat ride is a definitely a thing to experience, it's definitely eerie. Temperature inside is drastically less than outside so if it's muggy outside then it will be pleasant inside. Our guide was Kyle, very knowledgeable and she was patient to answer all our questions

I enjoyed this tour. It's not a natural cave but rather a penstock tunnel. Worth seeing, and you get a nice impression of the lock. Great to pair with a cruise on the canal.Tour guy was extremely friendly and nice. Management seemed to have an odd vibe. But highly recommend.

The Erie Canal in upstate New York is home to a family-owned and operated attraction: the Lockport Cave. This cave offers a glimpse into the history and culture of the region, as well as the natural beauty of the underground. Our tour guide was a friendly and knowledgeable young lady, whose name I unfortunately forgot, but you can see her photo in this review. She was a native of Lockport and shared with us many fascinating facts and stories about the canal and the local businesses that used to operate there. The tour was not very long, but it was very informative and enjoyable.

You can easily see why this is one of the most beautiful state parks in the entire 🇺🇲. It has great hikes. The middle and upper are fine with kids and elderly folks and you can park and walk from one to the other but the lower falls is a drive then a medium level walk if you're not a regular hiker. The lower falls involves a lot of stairs. It is a carry in carry out park so bring some bags to keep your trash safe till you leave. Cabins looked nice and they have rafting. There are numerous play areas for kids. The views are also breathtaking.

This state park has beautiful waterfalls, campgrounds, and canyon like formation places as well. There are three decks to the waterfall. Upper, middle, and lower. The entry fee to the park is $10 dollars. There are self pay machines like in many other state parks in NY. You can pay using a credit card.Soon after the entry you can see the bridge and a small parking area. There is a small trail of steps to reach the upper falls viewing point. The trail continues to middle and lower falls also. But those are drivable as well.Middle falls have the best views, bigger parking spaces and more people. The rainbow formations adds to the views of the area.Lower falls is also walkable from middle falls parking area. Drive further from the middle falls parking area, you will reach the canyon area, which looks great as well.

I can't express how beautiful this park is! The gorge is amazing. The waterfalls are extraordinary. Everything is very well laid out and nicely put together. The $10/car fee actually seems to go towards the park. I would highly recommend it!

Love this park so easy to get there and easy to see this beauty of waterfalls and get to see young artists paintingalong the park the falls. To many people does not know how much of wonderful nature we are surrounded. We love this park and we encourage to people to go and enjoy the beauty of mothe nature.

Cold rainy wet December day .. added more to this visit than it took away. The park was open for easily accessible areas but many spots were fenced off for safety. Entrance was free and yet the park was practically empty. During Covid this was comforting. The first stop was the New York mini “Grand Canyon”. It was breathtaking. Armed with umbrellas snapping photos along cleared defined paths and stone walls gave many photo opportunities. The routes were marked clearly with maps and historical information boards. Driving to the middle and high falls was easily done. Arriving at the picnic /playground /parking area after parking I chose to go to the high falls first. This area has look out coves among the cleared paths and stone walls. The middle falls were a short walk along the banks of the water way. Arriving at the middle falls I was able to get up close and personal in a look out cove. As I watched the furious rolling waters amongst the thunderous mesmerizing roar I felt completely at peace.Backtracking out of the park I saw look out points and a tourist shop. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit .. the park is accessible those with disabilities as you can drive to many points to take in the views. For hikers most of the trails were closed as were many entrances. For safety reason and low traffic at this time of year. There are camping areas , cabins, a restaurant and other options available during high season.

My husband and I took our camera to take breathtaking photos of Letchworth State Park. It was our 1st time there. It was amazing. The views are amazing. It's like our very own grand canyon. But way more colorful. Going this time of year brings such vivid colors and it's not too hot or too cold. It was a gorgeous sunny day. We can't wait to go again. It also was one of my mom's favorite places to go.

Great views everywhere you look!This park would take weeks to fully explore. It reminded me of a miniature Grand Canyon. The Autism trail was fun for our granddaughter. The visitors center was educational. I would love to come back and explore the trails…

Excellent state park, imagine this is one of the best state parks in the Eastern United States. Did a 6 mile out and hike checking out all three waterfalls- lower, middle and upper falls. Phenomenal views of the massive gorge, river and the waterfalls. The highlight is definitely the massive middle falls, very impressive coming in from Southern New England. Many visitor center buildings and so many more miles of trails to check out. The place is massive and could easily warrant multiple visits. It costs $10 to enter the park.

We visited the upper and middle falls. Neither require any significant hiking. Ample parking and bathrooms available throughout the park. Only $10 per car to get in.The falls were really beautiful. If you’re in the area it’s definitely worth checking out and we would like to come back.

Anyone who loves waterfalls or amazing sights in a hike needs to visit Letchworth!! 4 out of 4 us absolutely LOVED this place. Tons of picture worthy views and soul soothing walks through the trees. The mist coming off the one fall area made a double rainbow the morning we were there. Anyone who doesn't want (or can't) hike can also view from the many road side viewing points also.

This state park lives up to it's #1 ranking. The whole time I spent walking through Letchworth I was surprised it wasn't a national park. There are so many beautiful rest stops and every path is gorgeous. Even in spring before the trees bloomed the sights were breathtaking. Next visit I will most definitely be renting a cabin so I can spend a whole day or two here.

Before you reach the falls at the Letchworth State Park Visitors Center, you encounter this awesome bridge with a set of falls beneath it. Lovely for panoramic photos.There's a section of the park with a beautiful overlook of the bridge and falls together. Stairs take you down to view other parts of the falls downstream.We saw an ad for hot air balloon rides that take off from there, but we didn't see any while we visited.Small refreshment stand and bathroom facilities as well. Hot and buggy on the day we went, but neat if you like waterfalls.

Beautiful park with amazing waterfalls views!The hike along the ridge is easy and mostly flat with some ups and downs via stairs, that are well maintained. This is not a moderate hike, as suggested by various trails apps.The views are gorgeous!They also have a cute visitor center that has snacks and souvenirs.

Beautiful park! Lots of hikes. Picnic and grill areas along the trails . Bring your hiking shoes..some areas have quite some mud and a few moderate trails. Would be Beautiful to catch the hot air balloons flying. Nice place to spend the day . There's also an Inn and a few old school cabins .

This park is amazing! It has some of the best breathtaking views and geological dynamics. The waterfalls are spectacular. There is a trail that takes you to a foot bridge. There you are able to view the middle falls. There was over 100 steps to get to the bridge. I would not recommend someone with knee issues going down to the foot bridge. It is a bit hard to follow the map of the park. The Glen Iris Inn is on site. We did not stay there but we did have breakfast. Would highly recommend the breakfast. We stayed at the Pinewood Lodge that is partnered with the Glen Iris. This was a nice cabin like room with easy accessible walking paths to the falls. Would also recommend staying here.

Letchworth State Park is always a highlight for our family. The whole park is excellent, but we especially like the trail coming down from the Upper Falls top parking to the lower lot for the Upper Falls. We usually hike the stretch from that upper parking lot down to Inspiration Point. It's absolutely amazing. I typically drop the family at the top lot and drive the van down to the lower lot, then I hike up to meet them in the middle. We work our way over to Inspiration Point that way, and the family doesn't backtrack.The trail is always unique, and each season has its own wonders. This week we took some out-of-state friends with us and hiked the trail with Fall foliage starting to peak. No evolutionary advantage there—just an awesome work that is well worth your time. The autumn colors really brought the gorge to life. One of our best visits yet. Highly recommend a visit anytime of year.

This park is full of beautiful natural areas, numerous scenic views, hiking trails, camp sites. One of the best park to hike and admire the fall colors. The drive through the park itself was beautiful and peaceful. such a beautiful park. We spent the whole day. Highly recommended

This place was gorgeous. Everywhere you looked it was just breathtaking. All of the campgrounds are pretty secluded. The park is very long and there are things spread across the entirety of the park. So many trails that go everywhere. Beautiful falls and rivers everywhere as well. If you are able to visit this place you definitely should. It is well worth the trip!

What a beautiful park! So many amazing views!!! We will be back! We stayed in a cabin in the A section- it was peaceful and comfortable, plus not too close to our neighbors.

I am so grateful a friend of mine invited me to join her on a trip to this amazing place. I loved everything about it, from the natural splendor, gorgeous waterfalls, the vastness of the park, the amazing collection of trees, the beautiful stone fences, to how well it is maintained. Everything was impeccable, clean and without any fault. We were lucky to be there in a Monday morning, with very few people around, and we could really get closer to the beauty of the place. We are planning on returning for a longer visit, so we can hike on some of the numerous hiking trails of the park. A truly unforgettable place, which I highly recommend.

Any time of year is stunning at Letchworth State Park! We had an opportunity recently to visit with local outfitter, Trail Otter for a full moon night hike. The gorge and falls were stunning by moonlight! It will definitely leave you in awe of the natural beauty. There are lots of trails to explore and we are looking forward to an upcoming rafting trip with Adventure Calls. Be sure to plan a full day to explore.

This park left an amazing impression on me. It is such a rugged yet beautiful landscape. Unfortunately, with it being the winter season, a lot of the park roads were closed. Being fresh off of hernia surgery, I was limited where I could get to on foot. I can't wait to get back and explore all areas of this treasure. There are at least three waterfalls (lower falls road closed). The middle falls section has several flood lights mounted on the rocks that I'm sure will provide an amazing show at dark. The trail between the middle and upper falls was closed (I assume don't freezing spray).

Beautiful scenic park which is nicknamed the “Grand Canyon of the East Coast.” Lovely falls and scenic backdrops full of nature surrounding you with breathtaking views. I was married here and the pictures were so beautiful, some people questioned me as to whether or not it is a fake background prop. Lovely time there. Peaceful and quiet. Check out the restaurant there it was equally delicious where we attended for our dinner party.

We camped at State Park Campground! Beautiful sites great park staff! Nice to be so close to the gorgeous sites and hiking!

I haven't been to the Science in years, but our Godson just turned 5 and they have never been before. It really hasn't changed as in hands on and exhibits to see. Some of the new exhibits were really good. He loves space, so level 4 was visited a couple of times. Excellent place to take the kids so they can learn, touch and experiment. We arrived there just after 10 and left after 3. Staff great , exhibits and everything else was really good. Thank you for a good day.Bubba.

Absolutely great place. We loved the space section, a lot to learn in a fun and an intuitive way. Kids had a lot of fun learning. It would take half a day if you intend to take your time to see, learn and interact. There is easy access via transit, enough parking and accessible washrooms. Kids might get tired walking. But over all a great place to take your kids. Imax theatre was also cook.

The Ontario Science Center in Toronto is good for kids and families. It offers a wide array of interactive exhibits that engage and educate visitors of all ages. The facility is clean, with well-maintained spaces and restrooms.The center's emphasis on interactivity and educational experiences make it a memorable destination. It has a restaurant that provides standard fare like pizza and burgers, it serves its purpose as a convenient dining option.

I haven't been back here for a while (a decade +) and forgot how fun and educational this place is! It's definitely a great place to spend the day with kids. There are plenty of interesting things for the adults as well. Did you know there's a big plant called Tulip Tree? I didn't. I like it that the entire place is spacious with high ceilings. There are so many interactive & interesting things strategically placed not too far from each other so visitors don't crowd into one place. Can you spot the dragon lizard?

Really fantastic place to spend a couple hours or more! The parking is $12 which is pretty reasonable and you catch a shuttle to the entrance. They like it if you get tickets ahead of time and if you plan on going a few times, definitely get a year pass. It’s very hands on in almost the entire place so it’s the perfect place to go with kids and toddlers.The staff are all very friendly and they are constantly changing up the rooms to showcase different forms of creativity and innovation.I prefer the weekdays because I could see the place being quite busy on the weekends.

Incredible museum that enchants young and old. The explanations for natural and scientific phenomena and the exhibits are made so interactive that you want to see them all!!! It is worth spending a day. If you have children they will appreciate it. You too. Parking costs 15 CAD. It has a cafeteria inside where you can eat or drink something. But you can also have your own food and sit at tables outside the dining room.

This is the most recommended place for kids. Visited the science centre with my 4 Years old. They had lots of fun and learning experience. There are 5 levels - we could visit only Bugs hall and Space one. Kidzone is super fun.Experience and recommendations:1. You can not cover this place in one visit so better to buy membership pass - Planetary pass.2. Should plan full day as there are so many activities and level. Ticket says 30 minutes but it is an amazing place to spend days.3. Also plan to see IMAX movies as kids will enjoy it.4. You need to walk a lots so you may carry stroller for toddlers.5. Weekends tickets are sold out quickly so plan in advance. The only hack is that members have special slots so you can find some slots if general category is booked.6. There are experts available at each level and can share their knowledge.Have fun and teach science.

A good place for Science lover and curious. So much to explore in a day, I'll say you'll need minimum 3 days to explore this place and appreciate everything. I took the annual pass to make sure I'll get to enjoy the place. With the pass you get to bring guests and free parking, 12 movie passes. It's hard to give details here, I think the experience is well worth it.

We came here as a year end event with the kids and kinda disappointed to see that a lot of things has been taken out. Especially the space area so little to see now. The gift shop is also gone just a small little both in the way out. They have 2 dinning area one with nicer tables and seats. The other just like high school lunch tables and seats. The kids had the most fun running around in the great hall as there was nothing there just open space. Not too sure if this was due to renovation of the bridge.

I came here with my 2 kids as tourists from Israel. We came in the summer. There were many kids there because of summer break. A lot of noise, very crouded. This place feels more like a playground than a science museum. The kids had fun. The place is nice, the staff is very helpful, but I feel this place is not as educational as it is playful.

I took my 6 year old boy, but I am trying to assess from the lens of all kids from 6 to 66. I can agree with the opinion I hear a lot, which is that the place could use some revitalization. The exhibits are good - they really are. But I don't think they have the initial appeal to hook in the youth who have so many distractions and other things competing for their attention. Same for the adult who will readily assume they know what the exhibit is about on a surface level, not realizing there may be more there, just a little deeper. The fact that it has stayed mostly the same for so long plays well to the nostalgia of the 30+ crowd; that makes us better tour guides for the next generation. Hoping to see things evolve with the times, regardless of the address of the Ontario Science Centre.

There are a lot of activities for small kids. My 5 year old and 4 year old kids loved the experience. We needed more than 3 hours to truly experience the whole place, which unfortunately we didn't have.The exhibit halls have to be accessed from the rear entrance, and there are frequent shuttle busses that run between the main and the rear entrances.The family center was really fun and engaging for us. It's a great learning experience.

Fun place, especially if you have a young child who needs stimulation- as a dad I had fun too engaging with my son. There were alot of things and they can find 1 thing they enjoy and stick with it for hours. Although the weekends can get busy with all kids running around, will feel like a daycare with no parental supervision. Other than that it is advisable to go on a weekday if possible.

A mixed bag.I’ll start off by explaining that I haven’t been to the Science Center in well over a decade. But when I was a kid I would come all the time and would attend summer camps and would have some amazing experiences. But SO much has changed.Start off by the bridge being closed for no posted reason which is really a shame because that entrance really immerses you in nature and starts your journey off right at the Science Center. Instead, you wait in line for a shuttle to take you down the hill to the rear entrance. (Is walkable, but we went in Mid November with a 4 year old and a 7 week old).Walked in the rear entrance and the place seems empty. Lots of empty spaces and missing exhibits. The areas seemed unorganized except for the original Space and Living Earth exhibits. The way the exhibits were laid out really had so rhyme or reason and it was a really odd layout.The food in the cafeteria is WAY overpriced. Bring your own food!Now for the positives.The exhibits themselves are great! Amazing information for all ages and lots to explore and get your hands on. My 4 year old loved the rainforest and the interactive Dino exhibit. And loves playing with other kids at the interactive floor in the lower level main hall.

I will say the content of this centre is very extensive and can really be enjoyable and informative to folks of all ages. However, having parts of the centre closed was not what I was expecting such as the outdoor area which was odd to me since a lot of people didn’t have issues walking outside to get to the rear entrance instead of taking the shuttle due to long lines, and having the space planetarium closed without an explanation posted was very disappointing since I was looking forward to it. The OMNIMAX movie experience is very neat and a cool experience for seeing a movie on such a big screen. There are also a lot of interactive exhibits which help you appreciate the science behind it. One last thing, I understand that this is place is mainly for kids, but parents please look after your kids, I have seen so many without supervision and causing a disturbance which made it hard to enjoy certain attractions and can really make the time there enjoyable with so much screaming. Overall, not a bad place to go for the first time.

Great experience to re-learn the basic knowledge of Science.Wish I took a picture of the planetarium but I was so busy following the comets ☄️ 🤣 plus the Human anatomy is something that I’m always fascinated about.Not busy during the weekdays but planetarium is packed. These were taken during Spring time (April 2023 if I’m not mistaken) Wish I took my time to read the boards and comments and explore / observe / experience what the kids were doing with tools and machine etc etc kinda wanna go back! 😕

Always a fun time for kiddos. The large children area just re-opened.There are dinning areas for people that bring their own food right across and a bit past the entrance to the cafeteria. Very busy on weekends.The kiddos thoroughly enjoyed the temporary exhibit with the bugs

Science experiments on the go .. beautifully presented concepts and so so many things to explore . The ground floor had many sections where there are properties of magnets , fulcrum, pulley and so so much of physics with reasoning. The biology section has such pretty demonstable skeletons . The second floor is more of Watch and learn. The fourth floor has the kids of the toddler section which was so well maintained and equipped. . There are pretend castles and. play area . The planetarium lies on the same floor where a few cool display are present . I feel it’s a must visit .. my 5 year old loved it ❤️❤️

Аn excellent place to relax with the whole family. your children and you will be happy to get to this amazing place. There is a restaurant on the territory of the science center, so you will not go hungry. For an excursion to the science center, you need to allocate a whole day, since you will not be able to quickly get out of this labyrinth.

Loved my first visit to the science centre! We could not even complete the ground floor in three hours and aim to go again! Highly interactive with the kids experiencing sound by playing on drums or just going into a silent zone! Excellent exhibition on the developing embryo inside a mothers womb! Fascinating actually !The small rainforest with its colourful frogs etc etckids can have their run recorded and test their rowing skills as well !Enough said.. go experience

Since my family and I have a membership, we decided to come and visit the museum today. The bus ride was about 20 minutes. We walked instead of taking the shuttle bus because the line was too long. Previously, we have had experiences of food poisoning from the cafe, so we packed our own lunch and were able to get seating. This museum is amazing. There are exhibits for all- from deep water exploration to bat caves to the reproductive system. Came with kids and explored the play area on the second floor. Had a blast. Overall a great experience and would come back again.

Everything is almost Identical to how I remembered it and that was super cool to just know what I wanted to see and where I wanted to go, so it was really nice. I missed this place, and it's crazy that this facility will be moving soon, but overall, great experience. We also watched an IMAX movie and that was super nice so yea!

this place got stuck in the 90s… everything except one exhibition was so old! some stuff were out of order some were sooo oily probably they haven’t cleaned it after the weekend (visited on monday). also there’s no info that this is strictly for kids, very boring even for young adults - elementary knowledge! huge disappointment, the place has so much potential!!!

Such a great educational experience. You can go there with your family, too much fun for kids and adults. The staff was friendly. If you are visiting during winter better to know that when you arrive and get your tickets you have to wait for shuttle buses around 5 minutes so don’t take off your jacket ( if you have strollers or wheelchairs you will take accessible buses)There are 6 levels. The best for me were levels 6 and 4. There is no level 1 actually. (the shuttle bus will drop you off in level 6)Level 4 is great for kids they will play music, do gardening, bakery, building and other activities they can also play with water and build dams and … the good point is that level 4 has nursing room too.There are sanitizers everywhere. Clean washrooms with changing table.Better to bring your own snacks and water bottles. This is where I have been taking my kids for over 10 years. We love this place. So much fun. The scientists are amazing and ready to answer questions. The updates to the exhibits are always a wonderful surprise.

So much to do, so little time! You can spend a whole week in here and still probably not see everything. There are so many exhibits and activities for young and old. It's a huge building with many different areas so be prepared to do a lot of walking. It's great for tiring kids out!!

Went on a garden tour today. It was fabulous. Our tour guide Louise was great and the group we werewith were fun. The gardens are just stunning. I love this place and it’s our 10th time going. I highly recommend any of their tours the auto baron, servants quarters, basem*nt… they’re all informative and exciting. The gift shop is charming and all of the staff LOVE their work and the home. We ended our day with lunch at the tea garden which was scrumptious and well worth the prices. A little bit of Oshawa’s history to explore.

Our experience at Parkwood Estate was really good. We had a great family outing. The gardens and the fountains are very well maintained and clean. Lots of open space for families to hang out together. Parking is free too. Although we couldn't manage to do the guided tour of the mansion but we are planning to go again soon.

Absolute gorgeous place for afternoon tea. The estate is well kept and the florals are beautiful. With the afternoon tea set, you get a plethora amount of food to keep you satisfied. My favourite sandwich was the apple curry chicken croissant! The scones are great and so are the sweets. The service is impeccable!!! My friends and I needed to go to the washroom and they called a golf cart to take us there since the walk was going to be long. Not only that, the gentleman that took us waited for us and dropped us back at the tea house. The property is great for pictures and to just enjoy. I would love to come back again 💖

The most amazing experience! We had the best tour guide, Jeffrey!!!! He was funny, so knowledge, patient and very comfortable to be around with.Usually, the tour is 1 hour in duration, but Jeffrey gave us around 2 hours tour... 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 We were together with my elderly Ukrainian mom who doesn't speak English, so, when I was interpreting for her, Jeffrey was so patient and understanding, it's just melted our hearts.The whole tour was on the 1st floor, and it was fantastic! I took so many wonderful pictures. If my daughter would decide to get married one day, or my son, this is the place I would want them to book.Rooms are filled with a different energy. It's so cozy, inviting, natural!Another thing is that the personnel of the museum did amazing job making settings and providing all the tiny details so beautifully that it took our breaths away.Fantastic place. We'll be going for more excursions to other floors. And very soon as that place is magnificent.

First time visiting the estate to attend the Lawn Maker show on September 19. The show featured local small businesses so we were happy to support local vendors.Beautiful garden and grounds. Limited parking on the estate but there is a parking garage beside the site. We paid $9 for a few hours.They offer tours and high tea in the garden that is booked in advanced. We plan on coming back another day for that but it may have to wait until next year because there are no more slots for the rest of the season.There is a small gift shop to check out. The neat part is to see all the movies that have been shot on the grounds of the estate.A beautiful, peaceful oasis east of Toronto. Definitely worth the visit.

We attended for the Lavender Picnic on July 9.We appreciated the beauty of the grounds and the nicely boxed luncheon consisting of a chicken sandwich, two mini lavender cookies, two cannolis, small lavender iced tea.We felt that for the price of a ticket total $53.55, it should have included some type of program, even for 1/2 hour.Their advertising was confusing, as it did not specify that when booking it was for one person, stating "bring a friend", which implies two people and not "invite a friend"

The Parkwood Estate, located in Oshawa, was the residence of Samuel McLaughlin and was home to the McLaughlin family from 1917 until 1972. I personally enjoy so much of the big garden and gorgeous restaurant n Tea house. It's great for family to visit n spend a half day trip there. The ticket for the tours are very full, best to book it advance on line. They have garden tours n historic Estate tour, both are very popular. The garden design is amazing , truly a beautiful place. Parking is limited n free!

Absolutely amazing. We did 2 tours. The specialty greenhouse tour followed by the auto baron tour. Both tour guides were phenomenal. So passionate and knowledgeable. Cannot wait to return and learn more about the fascinating McLaughlin family and their estate.

This is a hidden gem! I live close by and was never aware of this place! We took a guided tour of the palace and it was incredible! The tour guides/crew are all awesome friendly and make you feel at home, they made this experience even more remembrable. Thank you Vivian, you are doing great. ❤️ The estate itself is great, has a tea restaurant near the fountain and water body which is an amazing experience. I'm looking forward to booking the next tour of the servant quarters and first floor in the fall. It's a wonderful place, even if you're not a fan of history, a must visit!

Definitely the most underrated and overlooked spot in Oshawa. We loved our tour of the mansion - it was a fascinating exploration of a major Canadian figure I’d never even heard of. Then we explored the grounds - which are free and open to everyone and are absolutely gorgeous. They’re also going to look very familiar to fans of Billy Madison, Nightmare Alley, Ready of Not, or any number of other films that have featured the grounds’ fountain.

Visited Parkwood Estate Historic Site on a beautiful June 2024 afternoon. The place was very lively and absolutely stunning. The green scenery was perfect for relaxing or taking a few pictures. The tea house by the pool looked charming, though I didn't have time to sit and enjoy it. Highly recommend for a peaceful and picturesque outing!

Unfortunately the fountains weren't filled with water during my visit (in May), but nevertheless it was still a fascinating sight! I didn't sign up for a tour, but upon arriving and touring the area myself, I wish I had! I would highly recommend taking one of their paid tours, as it would definitely enhance your overall experience, and you get to learn more about the history behind this grand estate.Definitely a captivating historic site, a must-see in Oshawa.

Beautiful historic mansion with unique features like a bowling lane and indoor pool. Many movies have been filmed here. There is even a tour highlighting them. Great history facts from the tour guides who are very knowledgeable . Don't forget to stop at the gift shop for some lovely items!

Came to the Teahouse for a summer evening dinner. Wasn't too busy but apparently we came on the last day for dinners for the summer so could be why. We made reservations and we're seated front and centre of the fountain. Stunning view! 😍 the hostess and wait staff were very attentive and friendly! The food and drinks were great and we loved getting to walk around the estate afterwards to enjoy the scenery. Definitely will be coming back next summer to try out the afternoon tea as well!

The tour of the Parkwood Estate first floor was fantastic! It is a beautiful house with gorgeous details throughout. Our guide was truly knowledgeable and encouraged us to ask as many questions as we could come up with. It was well worth the admission price to learn about the history and imagine the house full of life. The kitchen is severely cute. Remember to also wander the grounds and the tulip gardens.

Two intriguing elements were the house and the gardens. Even in early Fall, the latter were beautiful with a wide range of flower types and colours with the contrasting green of the lawns. The house was an impressive collection of different rooms many of which contained the original furniture. Wonderfully high ceilings with wood panelled walls and contrasting plaster mouldings. A detailed presentation by the knowledgeable docent gave a warm insight into the personalities of the family. Well worth visiting. Combined house and garden visit would need about 2.5 hours.

It’s very beautiful and not too crowded. Very nice vibes.The staff are all very friendly and amazing! They help you as much as they can.I went to buy tea and they were very helpful and answered all my questions.I needed to charge my phone and they even helped me out with that!I also did the tour which was very informative.I really recommend this place to people who want a relaxing day at a beautiful place with a lot of beautiful flowers!

Amazingly gorgeous right in Oshawa! Take the tour - so interesting and informative. Our guide and the staff were excellent 👌🏻. Grand home and fantastic grounds. Highly recommended. Will be back as they have so many tours + tea in the stunning gardens in the summer.

This was a really great experience and I highly recommend it!I did the Auto Baron Tour with friends. This is a bit of an overview tour vs the other more specialized tours. Our tour guide, Zoe, was quite informative and did a wonderful job painting a picture of what life was like, while deftly handling some of our esoteric questions!The home is stunning and well maintained, and the grounds spectacular as well. There is so much to cover, I now understand why there are so many different tours! I'll just have to go back to check out other parts of the home!ETA: I have also done the Christmas tour and Greenhouse tour, and thoroughly enjoyed them. Lovely to learn more about this fascinating family although it's a real treat having Zoe for a tour guide as her passion and admiration really shine through.I did the Christmas tour with my mom and sister, and the Greenhouse tour with my husband and 4 year old son. The home and grounds are so extensive, and the history spans so many decades, that multiple tours really allow you to dive in and discover many enjoyable nuances.

This is a beautiful estate to visit for historical importance. Visiting this place takes you back in time. Well maintained but we visited in November. The guided tour of 90 minutes costs $12 for seniors. There are many guided tours within the estate for which you have to check the website. We got to see the living, dining, family room and Library, The Recreation area included Swimming, blowing ally and pool table. The tour was worth it. Will return in Summer. This place is a haven in the middle of Oshawa. It was built by Sam Mclaughlin who eventually founded General Motor s. It is a designated Historical site. I still haven't visited the actual house but I will.The gardens are out of this world. They reminded me of European gardens. I visited in September and October and I have to return next summer. There is a a tea house and a gift store.Do visit here, I know I will return.

One of the Historic place in Ontario park! I remember someone told me that they use this park for one of the movies! I do not remember what was it? Please comment if you guys remember.My 3 time here to film a wedding.Absolutely magical.

Amazing and accessible. Very clean and lots of open space. The beach itself is clean with lots of space to drop a beach chair or towel. Public washrooms are available. Lots of paid parking on the side streets.

September 30, 2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Cobourg Beach, situated along the open beachfront between Victoria Park and Lake Ontario, offers a pristine and spacious environment. It's an ideal spot for intimate family gatherings, leisurely strolls in the sand, or allowing the kids to engage in some sandcastle construction.Paid parking is conveniently available, and during our visit, the beach was pleasantly uncrowded. Notably, there's a mat that stretches from the walkway near the water's edge, presumably to prevent sand from infiltrating your footwear.If the need arises for restroom facilities, you can easily access them at Victoria Park, which you'll pass through en route to the beachfront.

1 Hr Drive from Scarborough but worth it.Beautiful small city with old buildings and a beautiful, long beach.The park, beach is well maintained. The shallow warm water is perfect for kids to enjoy for long.Multiple parking lots, but still it can be difficult to get parking if you come late on a weekend. Parking is paid approx $1 per half hr.Splash pad for kids is really nice. A lot of tables available for family picnic. Clean washrooms.

Clean beach. Entrance is free. Parking is either $40 per day or $5/hour no limit. Watch where you are parking, there are some streets reserved for residents only.There are 2 splash pad areas, playgrounds, bathrooms. Water in August has been amazing!

the beach is a beautiful Sandy Beach the water is also Sandy to walk on. you can walk out quite a bit. the only thing I didn't like is there's no change room or shower. but you could use the ladies and men's washroom.

Arrived at 9AM to secure parking and choose a good spot.Parking said $40 all day, however machine keeps adding more even after reaching $40.Beach is clean, sand felt fine and soft on the feet; the water was not too cold. There are 2 water parks and swings for children to enjoy.Tables by the park are available to use.Washroom was clean and well stocked, some sinks are out of service. Would have been better if there was a rinse area. There’s water filling station by the corner of washroom.Overall, one of the best beaches we’ve been too. Would come back next year when it’s warm.

Sand is soft. Doesn't hurt when you walk barefeet.I went at 9am on a rainy Saturday. Literally the only one on the beach. I hear that it's usually really busy.More people came at 10am.Beach is so clean.Picnic tables available just off the beach.Splash pad is great! My toddler loved it.Paid parking.

This is a beautiful spot for anyone to enjoy.There is a water park, park, cover picnic area, clean bathroom, restaurants, shopping, some food truck and sightseeing.You can always find a good spot to set up on the sand area. If you're looking to set-up in the shade area, you need to come earlier (9am or earlier).Parking can get expensive, and sometimes you have to park some distance. I would advise dropping off your load and anyone that can't walk far.After four at some spot parking is free.We have been here for July 1st and had a great time.Do remember to bring everything needed, to enjoy the beach and sun.If you stay till about 8pm, you can watch or hear the guy playing the Uilleann Pipes, by the water. 🪗

Nice and clean beach but no cooking allowed and parking is quit expensive. However, lots of food, restaurants are available nearby and also few food trucks are available at the beach (one of them is Halal too)

Visited in the evening, started snowing too. Great scenery and loved it. Quiet place and the lakeshores are so beautiful with the snow showers. Feels amazing. Great place for a valuable time spending with your loved ones

Beautiful well kept beach with many amenities such as playground, bathrooms, picnic tables and also a path to walk on the sand or take strollers closer to the water.

Beautiful, sandy beach. Clear and clean waters. Family-friendly environment. Considering there are many people, it did not feel crowded due to the large sandy space, and it is well-maintained and clean.For parents with strollers and wagons, there is a path in the middle that makes it easy to navigate wheeled equipments.There's a nice playground and splashpad available too.There are yachts on the other side, which makes for a nice walk. There are some restaurants nearby too.There are toilets available and ample of parking (although a little expensive).

Love the Marina and the Beach at Cobourg. The city is very clean; they clean every morning. The beach is clean and huge. We happened to be there on the day of the sandcastle competition. There are good places to eat around the beach. The Victoria Park is a fantastic location for picnic. No BBQ or cooking allowed. Bring cooked food and enjoy nature!I really appreciate the effort put in to make the beach accessible for wheel chairs, walkers, and strollers.

Beautiful spot. Clean beach. The water was amazing clean and refreshing. Family and kids friendly. There are fountains for kids. Toilets available and clean. It was busy on a Sunday but that’s normal. A couple of groups were playing music. I just don’t get it because I am not interested in listening to other people’s music. This is not specific to Cobourg beach. It is everywhere.

This beach is fantastic! You have the beach and the splash pad. Went for the sandcastle festival and my only issue is the lack of affordable food. There was only 2 trucks, making it about an hour wait and the prices were $$$. I had a Korean cheese dog and it was absolutely delicious but was only a limited time

The beach area is large, the sand quality is very good, clean and delicate, very suitable for children to play. The lake water is also very clean, and there is no fishy smell in the wind blowing from the lake, making it a good place for leisure.

In season and out of season, this is a real nice spot to go for a walk.Winter clearly has less foot traffic and makes for a quiet walk alone or with your partner, and bring the dog along so long as you pick up after they've done their business.Mystical scenery with the crystallized waves mounted up along the shore.A contrast to the Summer season...Beautiful late summer day for a romantic walk on the beach with the one you love, wading through the waters on the shore.Lots of activity, pathways, waterpark, picnic spaces, ice cream, and poutine, this place has all you need for a daytime getaway.Get some steps in on the shore before fall hits, especially if you want to get in the water!
