CAREER PLANNING TO SUCCEEDI believe every individual can succeed, even if they are less abled than us. If you see Paraolympics you will realize the same. One jas to have a will to succeed. Most people who succeed to their highest level , do so because of following reasons:1.They have identified what is their intrinsic need in terms of career. What will give them fulfillment ,money & growth. 2. They have done an honest SWOT Analysis of themselves to identify what are their strengths, areas of improvement and opportunities in the market. 3. Successful people are continously learning and improving their knowledge, skills and behaviour to improve their overall competence. Unsuccessful people don't work upon themselves. They are caught in an activity trap. They waste their time on Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook etc. It is OK to do it one hour in a day. 4. Those who succeed understand that the world is full of opportunities. They do not restrict themselves to a city or country. They are adventurous. They are willing to travel, adjust to new places and are open to experiences. They live with an abundance mentality. Great amount of learning happens when we travel to new places. 5. They invest in their own learning, improve their qualifications, do new certifications. 6. They find a Guru, A Coach or Mentor who can guide them to success. Those who want to succeed find an accomplished person , who is highly learned and has worked at top management levels and loves to help people. 7.     ENTIRELY UNFORTUNATE The gruesome murder and rape of a Resident Doctor in RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata exposes the rot, corruption , money amd sex racket which was going on for a very long time. Students and Professors should have protested long back. Thry tolerated injustice far too long. No one should have any doubt that the murder and rape was a well orchestrated, systematic plan, most probably led by the former Principal to silence , young Abhaya. She knew too much, was fearless and it appears had decided to expose them. They decided to brutally silence her so that no one ever raises their voice again. From circumstantial evidence it is clear it was preplanned and executed with impunity and confidence that nothing will happen to the perpetrators of injustice. Let us look at facts as per reports. 1. Why was the rape and murder called Suicide ? Why were the parents told it is a suicide ? 2. Why was the body cremated in a hurry ? 3. Why are certain critical reports like autopsy report missing. 4. Why was the Post Mortem being done by a person who is not professionaly trained and is a quack. 5. Why was sudden renovation taken up ? Was it to destroy evidence ?? 6. Why did the other Doctors and Students not protect her. Obviously she was killed in a private place where there was no one , except the murderer and the body later brought to the Conference Room. Obviously, some very big fishes are involved because a Money, Porn & Sex Racket which was going was going on for a very long time.The Former Principal was living far beyond his means. Where did he get so much money to create so much property. ? The Doctors need a healing touch, emotional and Police Support for future protection. They need assurance that the entire corruption racket will be exposed and those who are involved will be punished. The Chief Minister is a capable administrator. She can correct things once for all. She should act as per her highest potential and Crack the Whip on everyone who is guilty. This is not the time for her to try to stop the blame , by hiring s top lawyer and wasting State Funds. She needs to speak to the young Doctors and assure them of her support. According to me unnecessarily, she should not be blamed for this murder and rape. This can happen in any State and has happened in Delhi, M.P. , U.P, Maharashtra etc. Calling for her resignation and making it a Political brinkmanship is indeed unfortunate when there is so much hurt and fear. CPM and other Parties need to provide healing touch and not do vandalism. Let everyone keep theri sanity and focus on punishing those who are the perpetrators of injustice, corruption etc. CBI has got all the evidence.     DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DUTY & LOVE.One of the top Creative Directors in the Advertising World was a Chemical Enginner in Shell when I was V.P. - HR. He was a top performer with very high potential. One day,he came to me and said , " I am bored.I don't like trouble shooting in the factory. I want to do something different. "I asked him , whether he would like to take a deep dive inside himself amd find out what he would love to do. He was game for it. I have a Career Planning Worlbook which has helped thousands of people, young and old, to discover their career what they are passionate about. I guided him through the Workbook and he discovered he would be most happy if he was doing something Creative, related to writing and visualization. He decided to quit Chemical engineering for good ( which his parents wanted him to do ) and join an Advertising Agency as a Copywriter, which meant taking a salary cut from Rs.15 L to Rs.5 Lakhs. Today, he is the most celebrated Creative Director having got the maximim number of Creative Artist Guild Awards.Swami Vivekananda said , " Duty is what you have to do, whether you like it or not.Love is what you like to do, what you are passionate about". We need to ask ourselves this question. Am I going to office and doing work , because I have to do it to earn some money for my living , to run my family.ORAm I going to office everyday , because I love to work and love my work. If you loving your work , you are on the right track. If you get up every morning and say to yourself , " Oh ! Shit, I have to again go to office" you are on the wrong track. Look for an occupation, which you love to do, that you are passionate about & you are or can be good at. Think deeply, what will give you happiness, and not just money. What you love to do and will give you fulfilment. Don't waste your life doing something which you dislike but you are doing it just to make some money. It will create Stress, Anxiety, Frustration and create Hypertension, Acidity, Diabetes etc. You will become a fit case for the Healthcare industry , but not fit for yourself. #hrd #career #jobs #MBA #occupation #life #wellbeing #tcs #Infosys #Tata #jsw #Larsen #abb #manufacturing #engineering

    LET'S DO IT. A saint told me this. "You can buy Flats, visit lovely places, but what will happen if you can't breathe pure air, not get enough Oxygen ?".He said, one simple commitment to make is to plant trees on your birthday. If you are 30 years , Plant 30 trees.If you are 40 years Plant 40 trees. Plant trees equal to number of your birthday. Arrange all employees to go and Plant trees on your company Anniversary day. If you don't have a place , go to a little faraway place, and Plant there. But take care of the tree 🌳 as if it was your own child. See to it that it regularly gets water, nutrition etc. Try to Plant Neem and Pepul trees as they clean up pollution more than other plants. Too many people are speaking about climate change, holding huge conferences, but doing very little to arrest climate change. We need Doers, not speakers. We are the " Common Man " of R.K.Laxman.     Dear Friends,Greetings from SRIIOM. I am attaching the Brochure of our forthcoming Future CHRO School - A Post MBA Advanced Certification in Organization Development , HRM and Change Management. It is starting as an Online Programme on 14th September 24. It will be held on 2nd and 4th Saturday from 7pm to 9pm for one year.This is our 57th Batch . It is an Online Practical Skill building programme for HRD Professionals. The aim is to upskill their overall competence in OD, HRM and Change Management.Dr. Rani Desai, Former CPO of Deloitte, Dr. Prof. Sumi Jha of IIM ( Mumbai ) , Tushar Desai Sr. V.P. I teach this course. The aim is to upskill HRD professionals in Organization Development, Transformational HRM and Change Management.
