"You went to see who?!" Genya burst out, dropping the spatula on the ground.
"I went to see Muzan... but it's fine, I'm fine and I'm not a runaway anymore!" I state proudly, while trying to soothe his worries.
"You're going to be the death of me..." Genya sighs, seeing my confident expression.
"Quite the opposite actually.." I mutter out to myself.
"So you saw him and... he just let you go again?" Genya continues to ask.
"Yes! He finally realized I can not be contained! Ha ha ha!" I joke.
"Right..." Genya sweat drop.
"Anyways that's why I said I might be out a bit more, since I can hang out with the upper moons again" I smile.
"Yeah... But Akaza is here, why do you have to leave to see the other upper moons?" Genya asks.
"Oh well... I don't trust the others won't do anything... Kokushibo is too principled and Doma is too random... Daki and Gyutaro might be allowed to visit though but I was planning on going to them already so another time maybe" I explain.
"Already planning on it, huh? When?" Genya asks as he continues cooking.
"Oh well, remember the mission with Uzui I mentioned the other day?"
"Yeah?"
"They're the demons he'll be going after. That's why I was thinking I might as well go see them during the mission." I explain.
"Oh yeah, that makes sense I guess... Those were the sibling demons who had some kind of human jobs right?"
"Yeah, Daki works at the red light district! I miss going there with her! Oh, maybe the house master will let me come back, then i wouldn't have to sneak in with the others for the mission!" I say, excited about the topic.
"Red light district... Isn't that..." Genya mumbles to himself, trying to put two and two together. He then realizes what it is and turn bright red at the thought.
"Aww, now I can't wait to be back... I really miss everyone, and the clothes, the make up! It's all so exciting!" I continue to ramble, not giving Genya's flushed face any thought.
"Y-you've worked there before..?" He mutters. Genya have the wrong idea about what exactly (Y/n) have been doing there.
"Yeah, it was so much fun!" I cheer, thinking back to when I used to sneak in candy for all the younger girls.
"F-fun.." Genya.exe has overheated and gone offline.
"Huh? Genya are you okay over there?" I ask, seeing as he stopped moving in the middle of cooking.
"..." Genya.exe has stopped working.
"Genya? Don't burn my food..!" I whine as I carefully push him to the side to save the food.
"Y-you worked there..." Genya mutters again.
"I didn't actually have a job there or anything... I was just there cause I wanted to" I shrug my shoulders.
"(Y/n).." Genya mutters slowly.
"Oh, why don't you tag along on Tengen's mission and then you could come see me there!" I exclaim as I turn off the heat and bring out a fork to taste the food.
"C-c-c-c-come see you..." Genya stutters with a bright red face, falling back onto one of the chairs.
"Yeah I- What's up with you?" I turn around and finally notice his flustered state.
"I- I- I- I- I-" Genya continues to stutter.
"Why are you acting all-" I stop myself. "Wait you don't think- When I said- I- I don't..." I start embarrassed, realizing what's most likely been going through his head. "I don't work there! I don't do any work there! I just visit from time to time to say hi to the girls who actually work at the house!" I hide my face in my hands for having accidentally created such a misunderstanding.
"Y-you don't..." Genya mutters out slowly.
"Definitely not!" I shout, waving my hands around.
"O-oh..." Genya breathes out in relief.
We both stay quiet as we eat the food, trying to forget the conversation had ever happened.
"I'm gonna head out now- What's going on here..?" Akaza enters the kitchen.
"Nice having you, come again.." I say and take a sip of water.
"Okay... " Akaza looks suspiciously between us.
"Bye..." I mutter.
"By the way, does Nakime know about this location or should I get out of her before I contact her?" Akaza stops to ask.
"No you can call her. I trust her, she won't just send anybody here..." I answer, leaning my head on my hand.
"Nakime..." Genya repeats to himself, trying to remember who she was.
"The biwa demon, the one who controls the infinity fortress" I remind him.
"Ah yeah, her" Genya mutters, remembering who she is.
"(Y/n)!" Akaza exclaims.
"He won't tell anyone..." I shrug and Akaza just shake his head in disapproval.
"I'm leaving..." Akaza walks to the door and disappears into the infinity fortress.
"Byeeee!" I shout after him before the door closes again.
I finish my food and get up to do the dishes and clean up. Once Genya is done I clean off his dishes as well. When I'm all done I head back into the living room to tell the other demons it's getting late and I take Rui to his room, keeping him company until he falls asleep. The other demons finish their game round before heading to bed too and as soon as Rui is asleep I leave his room with a yawn. I enter my room and throw myself on the futon, tiredly warping myself in the covers and close my eyes.
